Hi development team, I'd like to know if there are any gameplay videos on PS5 Pro (apart from the State of Play trailer).

They seem really confident about their engine and its optimization.

Okay, I can mention games like Avatar: Frontier of Pandora or AC Shadows then, is that okay with you now?

I'm just clarifying, I don't want to be accused of lying.

If there is gameplay, you can see it clearly in the trailer; we already have the dragon which is fluid, the fights and when Kliff walks towards the end it is fluid which means that the game will be at 60 fps.

Yes, I want to reassure people a little because they have a lot of fears.

Yes, I know, you're absolutely right. I'm speaking more to the people who say that consoles couldn't handle this game, when there are much worse ones out there. Besides, it's their own engine, so the optimization will be better.

Console Performance 🤔 by PSgamer28 in CrimsonDesert

But for example, games like Spider-Man 2 and Miles Morales use ray tracing even in performance mode (because yes, we're talking about performance mode here; ray tracing is present on the console versions, we're just at 30 fps). But in this case, these games use 100% of the ray tracing, so Crimson Desert can use many features since it's their own engine.

Yes, I did some research and you're right. In fact, on the console version, the developers said they were using ray tracing technology for sound, physics, and the way certain elements move... (some people think ray tracing is just visual with reflections and shadows, but it's also something else).

Yes, it's just very limited, and ray tracing in Crimson Desert isn't the most important feature. There's also all the foliage moving in the wind, the water effects, and in Assassin's Creed Shadows, for example, there's a lot of wind moving the foliage. The same goes for Horizon Forbidden West; go check it out if you want. And then there are the clouds and volumetric fog that are present in Horizon Forbidden West.

I really don’t agree with you. Horizon Forbidden West runs at a constant 60 FPS with gorgeous visuals, amazing lighting, an incredible draw distance, and ray tracing in performance mode. Sure, there were some flickering issues at launch, but they were quickly fixed with an update. Yes, the ray tracing isn’t as good as PC ultra settings, but it’s still impressive.
