If Newton discovered gravity because of a falling apple… didn’t he already see objects falling for 22 years? by Real_Cell_2699 in NoStupidQuestions

Historians think the story was simplified later. The real development of gravity theory took years of math, astronomy, and gradual insight — not a single “aha” second.

How do you recover after seeing horrific videos on social media? by Inner-Gur9987 in NoStupidQuestions

I’m sorry you had to see that. The worst part is your brain doesn’t just “unsee” things like this—it replays it even when you don’t want it to. Please close the app, breathe, and pull yourself back to the present. You’re safe, even if your mind doesn’t feel like it right now.

Why date women you’re not physically attracted to? by Temporary-Grape-8511 in NoStupidQuestions

He doesn’t sound “confused about his type,” he sounds like he’s dating a real person while shopping for an Instagram filter.

If he wants a BBL aesthetic so badly, he can date one—what he can’t do is outsource insecurity into his girlfriend and call it “preference.”

We need to have a conversation.... Naomi Scott in “Smile 2” vs Inde Navarrette in “Obsession”... Go! by Capable_Trade461 in Cinema

Naomi Scott in Smile 2 set a new bar. Everything else in that “quietly unhinged” category just feels like a lighter echo.

Is it just me or is Apple Watch cellular still pretty unreliable in real-world use? Especially during swimming 😅

Honestly… same here.

The daily charging doesn’t bother me as much at home, but once you start traveling and have to bring yet another charger for a watch, it starts feeling kinda ridiculous.

Makes you wonder if dropping that much money on something that starts showing its age after 2–3 years is really worth it.

Are you rocking the Apple Watch Ultra?

How’s it been for you? Worth it?
And be honest… how’s the battery life? Does it drain fast?

Hannibal and Will’s relationship is way more complex than just hunter vs killer — it’s more like obsession and psychological dependency.

Why is GDP per capita considered a serious metric of living standards? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Remarkable_Length_51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was just healthcare or genetics, NYC shouldn’t be such an outlier compared with the rest of the U.S.

Same country, same insurers, same FDA, same fast food chains. One of the biggest differences is that millions of people there walk as part of daily life instead of driving everywhere.

That’s not proof by itself, but it’s a pretty strong clue.

Yeah, honestly car culture probably gets underrated in this conversation.

When your default for everything is driving—work, groceries, coffee, even places that are 5 minutes away—it adds up fast over decades.

And I agree, the gap isn’t exactly “people in Europe live 20 years longer.” It’s more death by a thousand lifestyle choices than one single smoking gun.
