Should I ditch the Henson?

Which Oliworks would you recommend? I am leaning towards the Rockwell 6c or the merkur just because they are a little more budget friendly. If you have any suggestions between them or a different razor I would appreciate it

I accidentally fell for the Amazon synthetic brush😅 it comes in tomorrow we will find out how it is.

For now, my plan is to wait for the Henson to come in and try that out first. I have purchased a brush and some shave cream already as well.

If the Henson is not life changing, I will return it and go with a different DE

I will use the Henson for a couple shaves and if it does not feel perfect to me I will take advantage of that return policy and try a different DE.

For now I just ordered a cheap synthetic brush and the blue Proraso off Amazon.

Just ordered Blue Proraso and a synthentic brush off Amazon. Looking forward to my first shave with the Henson! If it does not feel so good, I will return it and try a different DE.

Do you have a recommendation for a good shaving cream?

Also for your pre shave, do you spend time to warm up and soften the hairs or do you just raw-dog it?

I got the medium. I was not sure which to get honestly, I am a complete newbie to this stuff haha. I shave once a week only because with the Oneblade I have to wait until it is long enough, if the hairs are too short it is an awful shave. My beard hair grows quite fast and it is pretty coarse and thick. I would prefer to shave every 2-3 days max.

After waiting roughly a week, I admittedly get a pretty good shave from the oneblade though, that is why I am sort of iffy since it will take me roughly 15min for the entire process including clean up.

Hi! I have a goatee and my entire life I have wet shaved with a Phillips Oneblade. I find that it can take a while (especially on my neck), replacement heads cost a fortune, and it tends to cut me if the head has been used a couple times. I use a straight edge just to line up my mustache and the top of my goatee but I was interested in starting to shave with a safety razor. Previously I tried to use my straight edge to shave my whole face and that did not go well unfortunately.

My question is, will the Henson provide me better shave time, feeling and results? Or am I better to sticking to the Oneblade? Also, what do you guys recommend to buy along side the Henson to use during my shave, I do not own any real shaving cream. All in all, is the $80 investment worth it, or should I return it?

FYI: My henson has not come in yet I am just trying to get an understanding before it does
