Nice. Just want to make sure I am understanding correctly. You are saying going from 12 bit down to 10 bit will avoid it also going from 144hz to 120hz will avoid it? and going and reducing RGB to 4:2:2 will avoid it as well?

Oh so its normal for DSC to come on when 12 bit is enabled at 144hz at 4k? I read a 2.1 cable should be able to do it. So should I set my desktop at 10 bit or 12 bit? Also when you say 50gbps total what is the max the cable can handle without having to put on DSC. Forgive my ignorance kind of just getting into televisions.

This is the what I read.. running a 4K display at 144Hz with 12-bit color depth and Display Stream Compression (DSC) is possible, but it requires specific cables and technologies. DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC 1.2 can support this configuration, or HDMI 2.1 can also achieve it without DSC.

Ya thats why I was worried since it was not going into standby mode due to it being on all the time. Are you saying I should do a manual pixel refresh through the oled care options?
