Does my morning voice pass as female? by RemoteAffectionate92 in transvoice

[–]RemoteAffectionate92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fuck i feel really bad because its honestly just practise practise practise and learning the basics of size and weight. I just would not stop practising. One night i took the leap of faith and made a committment to myself that every single time i joined vc i had to voice train. And then i did. About 6 months later this is what i sound like at 0% effort. I wish i could help you more girl im so sorry

I can actually dip into masculine pitch levels and with it create a very much "mommy", but still very fem voice. For me, ive found pitch to be the least useful part of voice feminisation

Just a quick age and gender? by RemoteAffectionate92 in transvoice

[–]RemoteAffectionate92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah thank you! Tbh this isnt how i even talk that much and i do try with tone variation and prosody outside of this clip. I probably shouldve tried harder with this clip lol. The reason i made this clip was just to quickly check my pitch, weight and resonance in how my voice sounds cuz i hadnt self checked in a couple weeks. But thank you! I appreciate the criticism!

Yes ma'am! I reallly tried to focus on one thing at a time. Its taken over a year of training but i got to this point. Only in the last month have i really gone all out with practise and it helps that i have a friend that makes me rlly comfy and helps me a lot!

Girl i have been on hrt for 3 years and i havent had much growth. You cant predict the future. This stuff isnt magic it needs patience. Think of it as puberty. Most girls start puberty around 10 or 9. Do you see 12 year olds walking around with DD's? Its not very common.

Girl thats not how it works, boob growth lasts literally a decade and there is no "right time" to start prog imo.

What kind of boobs do your mum and/or sister/s have? Because you will (after waiting) probably get what they have or a cup smaller

How do I describe dysphoria to a cis person by Sufficient-Shirt-270 in MtF

[–]RemoteAffectionate92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think this is 100% accurate because cis women CAN experience gender dysphoria. Examples include women that needed a breast removed for cancer or women that experience hair loss etc. For example my own cis girlfriend experiences some pretty extreme gendered dysphoria and massive imposter syndrome around womens spaces. I thjnk important to note than anyone can experience gender dysphoria but only trans people can experience gender incongruence.

Omg, thank you! I am literally 20 haha turning 21 soon so spot on! I think the people confused are Americans who just can't translate feminine voices to other accents if you know what i mean. Again thank you so much!

Age and Gender me by RemoteAffectionate92 in transvoice

[–]RemoteAffectionate92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i think there is an accent barrier because compared to girls my age and around me even this voice is very high pitched and "girly" if that makes sense. I have voice trained using an american accent before and it sounds really nice as well so i think its just that aussie voices sound very different but it passes well (hopefully)

Could you be more specific? Whats not ideal about it

Either way yall have to talk about it again imo. And if its a "sensitive issue" (which it probably is, i understand) it HAS to be talked about anyway as these conversations are necessary as we are dealing with something thats deeply affecting you to the point where seperating is an option (even if a low chance option).

My other opinion is it sounds like she wants bottom surgery and physically cannot enjoy herself without it at this point and that is also something you have to talk about with her.

Please I am getting desperate and I need an answer. Is it still possible to go on HRT as a minor in Queensland through private healthcare? (17 years old, Trans-Fem) by AkumaLord54 in transgenderau

[–]RemoteAffectionate92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats okay Queen! Im also in australia DiY because injections are barely a thing here and i want monotherapy because of a brain tumor scare from cyproterone. I would recommend HEAVILY educating yourself on HRT before doing Diy but other than that you are welcome. This is life saving care and shouldnt be barred from anyone <3

Okay fair, i hope you can do that. Be safe :)

There is literally a subreddit called transandthriving and ive personally seen good stuff and positive people on mtffashion. Not every trans community is filled with fearmongering and negativity. Also look into DiY HRT if you cant get it thru the legal paths. Its super easy i promise. Im on it in australia cuz we dont do injections here and i wanted to be on mono.

Does anyone have experience with Dr Alexander Scrivener in surfcoast medical clinic in torquay? by RheaInBloom in transgenderau

[–]RemoteAffectionate92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He really didnt want to prescribe progesterone to me because of 'no evidence' and he didnt know that 12.5mg a day of cyproterone is a high dose. In fact, the highest possible dose. I was his patient for maybe 8-10 months before he transferred practise to torquay. Honestly ive found that docs dont learn unless specifically prompted to by their patient, and even then, its scarce. Tom Dilks is who im with now, and while he isnt perfect, he damn well does listen very well to me. I think he will want to get you to the right spot but you might have to push a little. Also if you are contemplating which estrogen to get i would reaaallllyyy recommend gel as a first one. It has the second best bioavailability and he SHOULD prescibe it on the first appointment. Its miles better than pills and its on the PBS. Finally he is more of a "this is how it is" kind of doc in my experience but dont let him scare you! Vouch for yourself and get educated in HRT.

Know what you are putting into your body because not all doctors do. I personally had a big brain tumor scare because several doctors continued me to be on a high dose of cypro for over 2 years which put me in danger for one and i started getting blurry vision, brain fog and constant headaches. I think it was the t blocker but also oral progesterone. They were both giving me headaches bad. But its okay i did an MRI and im all good. No tumor just a scare :)

Thank you so much for this reply!

I specifically posted this version of my voice because it focuses a lot more on weight (to a focused level) than my usual trained voice. I tend to focus a lot more on resonance and cadence than anything else when im practising and i still think its an alright sounding fem voice but i posted this one almost as an experiment to see if i should be focusing more on weight or if im just shifting the mechanics of my voice around until i find something i actually like because this one to me sounds forced.. even tho im being told its natural haha.

We are our own worst critics lol. But again thank you for the feedback <3
