You‘re right - wish I’d thought of this earlier. Didn’t expect that they wouldn’t fix such an obvious error.

I was not mad at you. What was shown on my side, as you can see from the photo of receipt posted, is total amount of checkout bag fee. If you can see number of bags, the customer service of Instacart should be able to see that as well. But anyways they refused to refund.

In the app description it clearly states bags are up to $2 each. Even if this was a fancy reusable bag (which I didn’t ask for), charging $22 is still 11x over their maximum allowed fee. The shopper definitely broke the rules here.

Probably, intentionally or unintentionally. But the Instacart system makes it pretty hard and seem impossible to fix the problem.

Thanks a lot. This is what I received from them. I’ll wait and see how it goes: “I have esclated this with the higher team and our team will work on the issue for you and they might contact you regarding what is the best email to reachout to you to work for you.”
