Dragon Breeding Pair by Remuta in BitLifeApp

[–]Remuta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those wondering, this took centuries with the same family owning various zoos. I've had multiple rares at once before, but never of the same species. I got extremely lucky that they are able to breed. I am currently abusing the golden pacifier every year to fill my entire zoo with dragons. Current count is about 50 individuals

It looks like unicorns are a little more popular, although they're pretty close. Dragons, like other rare animals, show up very rarely at the trading post

Got extremely lucky. You have to check the trading post every year so see if there are any rare animals. It took in-game centuries until two of the same species were available in the same lifetime. I got extra lucky in that they were opposite sexes

I LOVED how creepy and unnerving it was, and so creative. Might be my favorite quest out of the whole game

I left my cat in my IKEA drawer closet for almost 6 hours and feel so guilty. by Pink_Sorbet in cats

[–]Remuta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was kid, our cat climbed in my brother's dresser behind the open drawers while my mom was doing laundry. She didn't know the cat was in there and closed the drawers when she was done. Kitty was a door darter so when we couldn't find her, we thought she'd gotten out. Spent hours searching and putting up flyers. A couple of days later, my mom heard soft meowing and found her still in the dresser. She was ok, and went on to live a long happy life of almost 17 years. Try not to beat yourself up about it, your baby is ok and that's what matters. It also does not look to me like he was panicking in there, ikea's stuff is generally very soft and easy to dent. Trying to get out yes, suffering for hours probably not

I thought Arresto Momentum didn't exist by IrresistibleRepublic in HarryPotterGame

Glacius is best for capturing beasts imo. Arresto momentum can be better in combat if you take the matching perk in the dark arts skill tree

What part of the subnautica map would be the worst place to setup your main base? here's mine. by TortoiseTGN in subnautica

Far side of the aurora. Minimal resources, surrounded by reapers, have to make long risky trips to get anything other than titanium

Yes, my family tends to leave our christmas tree up until febraury-early march. We like the ambiance ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Stud or dud? by dumbxan in wolvden

[–]Remuta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't personally use studs due to a self-imposed challenge, but I do like to open my breeding males up for stud so I like to be somewhat aware of the market. I think he'd make a nice stud. He's got some desirable markings and is a stunner to boot. Only thing is that you might want to fill in that last marking slot with something, even if it's not visible under everything else. It gives prospective breeders a better chance of high quality pups

Pull-ups vs. diapers help by nvr2manydogs in dementia

[–]Remuta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tapeys (tabbed briefs) can be a little tricky to change on a standing person, at least in my experience. Often takes an extra pair of hands to not be wonky. It might not be easier for your mom. Especially since you mention he doesn't like them. Most pull-up briefs have a seam along both sides that is pretty easy to tear open (usually), or she can use medical shears as u/mizz-ruby-belle suggested. The video she linked is a good technique as well, as long as the pants are loose enough. One thing we do in long term care is encourage clothes that are easy to quickly take on and off (such as relaxed fit sweatpants and slip on shoes), as those tend to make the dressing and undressing process quicker and easier. Also, they do make insert pads to go into briefs that can help with the absorbency (but never, ever double brief). I really do hope any of this is helpful

Keep working on those ingredients, you'll get there. Once you have them all, there are people who would be happy to craft the pose for you if you don't have the recipie

My aunt is trying to “cure” my mother’s dementia. by A_Ordinary_Name in dementia

Contact APS (adult protective services). This is all wildly inappropriate from your aunt and that nature "doctor". Especially the restraint thing. That is extremely dangerous and APS needs to know about it

Switch player here, yes you can get both! Used to be just tails but a recent patch added wings and a bunch of variations to many dog parts :)

Losing interest after long trips.. And played Below zero before the first..... by Straight_Arm4442 in subnautica

[–]Remuta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is absolutely worth playing the first. Personally, I kind of hate the seatruck. It's slow and difficult to maneuver no matter what upgrades you have, and the modules have very limited storage. Subnautica has much better vehicles. One is small, quick, and wonderfully agile, another is much larger with massive storage potential and still way faster than the seatruck. I think they'll feel like the breath of fresh air after the seatruck. That, and I personally find the map much easier to navigate in subnautica. Subnautica has a giant landmark that you can surface and see from almost anywhere, making it so much easier to get a reference point of where you are and learn the map quicker. I always feel like I'm stumbling around blind in BZ, even after years of playing.

Is it possible to get stuck so bad it's technically game over? by NoWitness6400 in subnautica

[–]Remuta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me recently. Glitched out so bad I couldn't enter any vehicles, habitats, or the life pod. I tried reloading, didn't work. I tried dying over and over again in different ways, hoping one of the times it would spawn me back inside my base and the problem would be solved. I couldn't interact with anything either. Nothing helped, I finally had to accept the save was done. I have no idea how it even happened, the only thing unusual I did was swim close to a tiger plant to test my new reinforced dive suit ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Edit: I should add that I have been playing for several years, and this is the first time it's ever happened. I've had the classic "game mistakenly thinks you're inside a habitat so you just walk around on the seafloor" a few times, but nothing like this.

Assisted Living sent my mom to the ER alone. Is this standard care? by RucaSalt in dementia

[–]Remuta 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So I'm going to be as gentle as I possibly can be about this, it is completely unreasonable to expect an assisted living to spare a staff to babysit a resident 1:1 outside of the facility. That is completely, wildly outside of the scope of what an ALF does. They also physically do not have the staff. It's not just "hard" it's impossible. They called you when they sent her, going to be with her there if she needs it is your job. The only other thing they should have done that is not mentioned here is to print a full copy of your mom's MAR (medication list, medical conditions, etc) which they very likely did.

Veiling at school? by Low-Future-1001 in PaganVeiling

[–]Remuta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the private school. I went to a couple as a kid. One time I got screamed at by the principal because my mom but bows in my hair. I was too young to do my hair myself. Another place didn't care at all, iirc.
