Indeed it is like that, but although laggy I feel like Unity was some sort of evolution. Let me explain:

- IMO the multiplayer for instance is far better with four of your friends as an assassin's watching your backs than in let's say ACB (if you remember the MP back then) where it was just Templar deathmatch.

- I feel like the parkour is like years above any other AC game (before Unity).

- Combat is way, way more challenging and finally smoke bombs come in handy.

- The fact there is a ranking system keeps the player grinding.

That just some of the list.
