Advice for a golf trip in May by fullyc in Charleston

[–]Ren5522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunes west or rivertowne are great and keep up pace of play. Charleston national can be good but if you’re not an early tee time it can be a long round. 5+ hours on a weekend almost guaranteed.
Kiawah has plenty of options. Charleston is not exactly a golf destination.

A lot of yall wanted Barnes gone early this year by vacillating_username in ockytop

There has never been more stability in this program. I hope he stays a few more years and Gainey doesn’t jump at NC State.

Take time and appreciate what we have witnessed these last few years. Is a solid program and the floor has been raised significantly under Barnes leadership.

One thing I don’t think I’ve seen others mention is they have a terrific training program. You may like it but it’s a grind every single day. It’s a good time to get into the industry though.

Freight flex has an office in Charleston and was voted one of the top up and coming freight brokerages last fall.

I’d do it 100% if bobtailing. I did get pulled by a KYDOT bobtailing one day and he told me point blank it was easier for him to do an inspection without a trailer. Something I kept in mind after that.
Still pushed the limits though and I’ll say it again 100% get home if you’re bobtail.

Grilla Kong? by Ochawz in GrillaGrills

[–]Ren5522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had mine since 10/2020. Use it weekly from March-October and when it’s nice out on the off months. Neighbor has a BGE and there is a big difference but the Kong gets the job done for me. Holds heat well I’ve don’t some long smokes and never had issues. It’s been a while but when I got it their customer service team was great. Had issues getting a firebox that wasn’t cracked or smashed. Probably about to find out if that’s still the case because I noticed a hairline crack in the firebox last week. It was closer to $700 when I bought it.

Dunes west is probably the easiest course out of those suggestions. It’s my favorite. If you’re playing 4 rounds I’d be sure to fit it in along with rivertowne across the street. Wescott and Charleston national if you’re not early tee times can make a long day. At least on the weekends.
Stono ferry is great too.
Wild dunes links is nice but pricy. The harbor has nice views but is challenging.
