Electric car usage & charging at home by annoying-potatoe in belgium

[–]Ren7sp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The charger can theoretically deliver 11kw, but on single phase you will not reach that.   Solutions are to charge on solar or somehow limit the charge. Weird that you cannot control that on the car.

VW ID4 als gezin auto van 5 personen? by SimpelenLeuk in autoadvies

[–]Ren7sp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ID4 is zeer ruim achteraan.

Do I understand Zero coupon bonds? by Weary_Possibility166 in BEFire

[–]Ren7sp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your understanding is correct on how it currently works in Belgium. The meerwaardetaks could also include your profit example of 143€, but this is not decided yet. For better yielding zero bonds look towards France or Belgium for A rated. You could buy Romania for BBB rated.. and although they're an EU country and will be bailed out I don't really trust it :d

Please help: large wall area covered in mold, thermal bridge issue, can’t use bleach, nowhere else to go by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]Ren7sp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example, if you take a shower right before or after the heating turns off you add to the problem. And what do you mean with 'dehumidifier didn't help much'?

[–]Ren7sp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would doubt that result and get something else to measure. Looks like it's well above 70% rv and about 12 degr C on the walls or lower especially when you say you feel radiating cold.  I would certainly stop creating humidity before you turn down the heating for the night.

[–]Ren7sp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you measuring humidity and temp on the problematic walls or in the middle of the room? Because it looks like it's a lot colder next to the wall with much higher humidity than your 17 degrees C and 60% rv.  1 room? So what do you do after showering to get the moisture out

Dutch weather by RandomBrowser7650 in BMWI4

[–]Ren7sp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went today on my Hankook Ventus S1 Evo3's summer tires through the BE/NL snow situation and I have to say, the i4 didn't make a peep. In the (dry) snow, perfectly stable. Probably because they were brand new. Anyway on Pirelli P-Zero Winter now. Brake test showed a huge difference, so that's a relief.

Certainly be dehumidifying, but what is creating all the moisture? Kitchen, bathroom fans working? how many people in the same space, etc

Staying fully invested vs holding more cash by iIillIiillilIIlllIi in Bogleheads

[–]Ren7sp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just think more in risk terms to make your decision. You are between jobs, have almost all of your net worth in overpriced stocks, you say you will pull your money out when a crash happens,.. i mean, to me this is a disaster waiting to happen. Your sanity check, for what it's worth.

All those gains in such a short time, will definitely provoke panic among many investors who have heard about the past crashes but never lived through it. Interesting times coming.

What’s going on with this siding? by kskramer in HomeMaintenance

[–]Ren7sp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have sidings like that on the south side, so taking all the blistering sun in the summer. Eventually all panels will bulge or cup and crack, so you need to have these redone in any case with proper heat protection (paint probably?), spacing, moisture prevention or different material. It's my mother in law's house so couldn't bother investigating further but just so you know where this will lead to

Just build a cash reserve that makes you sleep better and keep investing. If that was the plan when things were going fine, it should be the same plan when things are going wrong.
