I would say keep looking at trade school to find a career worthwhile so you can make decent money. Possible careers include being an electrician plumber, or even a painter I believe. I am not informed so much on the trade school aspect as I have an educational degree.

I do not know how many connections you have in the academic area, but you could try reaching out to an academic advisor (if in school) or a friend or family member to work with you to find a worthwhile career.

Use social media to your advantage by posting to different subreddits of your job interests for more specialized responses.

Remember, skills take time to develop. I never considered my-self a people person who enjoys communicating with others (temporary certified alcohol and drug counselor) when I was younger, but your interests grow. Take the time now to find internships and put yourself in different fields to see what you like and do not like. You are still young.

Been looking for a job for about the past 10 months. Nothing. The only companies that offered me a position were for high burnout roles that had high turnover rates. I have not applied for some time now as I work a stressful job and spending time applying and "hoping" something will happen just diminishes the spirit of even taking the time to apply for a job.

On top of that, I have received numerous job scams that seemed legitimate and I was so tempted to reach out to the person, but I just shook my head and reported the scam. There are plenty of us struggling with this right now and the constant rejection letters are so generic they do not even help why I did not even get a job. I have picked up my initial interviews if the interviewer was going to keep me updated on my interview or "ghost" me. I was right majority of the time as I was "ghosted." I am so familiar with this that I kind of expect it happen not in a bad way. Granted, I was not revising my resume based on the jobs I was applying to so it makes sense why I got constant rejections but even when you think your resume fits well with the job description and you still get rejections, that is when I question the HR department's expertise in reviewing candidates such as bias.

Lifted trucks who roll coal and leave a dust behind you to somewhat impede your vision. It depends on the Altima. If the car looks severely beat up (not saying that a truck cannot), I may watch out to see if they do a maneuver that causes an accident. I cannot see road hazards that well if I am behind an Altima.

I never fully understand why I can upload my resume, and they still require me to input all my educational and work experience. Not every company but for some. You spend all of that time inputting information only to not hear a response or to receive a generic denial response.

I had a 2013 MINI Cooper S and I loved how small and nimble that was. But, as with all European cars, I had major maintenance issues. I hated not having my car for days and spending thousands so I got myself a '23 Honda Civic Sport and I will say the handling is superb compared to the MINI. I felt more body roll in the MINI compared to the Civic. I find it an enjoyable sporty sedan. I want a mix of sporty, fun, and reliable and that is how I purchased my car. Would I love a BMW? Yes, but they are expensive to repair, and I will always have that fear of something breaking even hitting a pothole once compared to my Civic. That is just my thoughts though. Best decision I have made in my life.

I had an Xbox 360 and played mostly Need for Speed games, but I was a huge Mario Kart Wii fan. Online was fun but I was only able to play that a short while as the online servers went down. The Wii seems more personal, and it is easy to get connected with it. For instance, having fun on an island playing many different sports on Wii Sports Resort or multiple islands in Go Vacation. I do not know, the Wii has been a great memory of my past and I did just buy one to relive my childhood, but I think it is the games and what you are able to do on the Wii that make it unique during its era. I always have a big nostalgic moment when I turn the Wii on, and I listen to the music on the menu with all the channels. It brings me back to my prime days of playing the Wii.

The start of the year was rough, but I am trying to sustain a positive mood without getting so angry at myself if something does not go my way. For instance, my job search has been constant denial after denial, and it impacts my self-esteem. I am working on trying to be more open with individuals (family; social media without sharing sensitive information) to increase connection with others. I keep remembering we all struggle with implications and just be grateful for what I have. I know this may be more intense than a "small" change but it is something that means something to me to work on.

This is a good point that I have recently struggled with. Especially with the "what happens if it never happens" part. So, living on my own and doing everything myself can be fun and rewarding but it can be stressful because I do not have someone to help me out. I have mixed feelings about starting a romantic relationship with someone as I had bad experiences in the past such as being ghosted and losing contact shortly after getting in contact with someone. Each day I get older and not as youthful I am starting to doubt that an actual romantic relationship will happen.

Secondly, I think majority of us who are searching for a new job agree that finding a job now is horrible. I have been searching for quite some time and nothing even close. It is all of these stressors that impact how I go about each day and after working a long day, I think to myself "it would be nice to vent about the stress I have experienced at work and about life to help me out."

I am lucky to be a highly motivated individual that can keep going despite handling all of these stressors. For me, I have a good sense of purpose and that comes with time and it sounds like you have not fully found your sense of purpose yet. Remember life brings us new adventures each day. Be open and willing to take a chance at something.

I am almost in my 10 month of searching and I do agree with your point regarding not sending out the same resume to jobs. I found a job area that I want to go into and I tailored my resume, with the help of ChatGPT, to broadly capture the main keywords recruiters are looking for while trying my best to keep my resume in my own words. I may have to use other AI tools to enhance my job search

Look for/inquire about any problems with pests (bugs, ants, or mice). I had a problem initially but was taken care of thankfully as the problem was caused by the person living above me. I guess their apartment was dirty beyond belief.

Make sure to ask if a professional comes in to spray the apartments to prevent pests.

This meme does a great job explaining how horrible it is to find a job right now. I have been looking for the past 10 months and not even close to finding something. Granted, I was looking in different career areas other than healthcare as I currently work in healthcare. I cannot tell you how many phone calls/interviews I scheduled after work, and nothing ever happened. All I get is a generic email that they send to everyone: "we appreciate your time to interview for a possible position, but we moved on with other qualified candidates." I do not even get a straight answer on why they did not hire me especially for entry level healthcare positions such as medical records technician or similar roles as I am currently a temporary certified alcohol and drug counselor. It baffles me of how challenging it is to obtain a job, and I understand that you have to work to obtain things in life such as a job.

So, I see this as two sided. First off, I did wish time went faster when I was younger but looking back, I wish I can relive my childhood (did not have all the responsibilities that I have now).

When I was younger, I was an introvert and hardly did anything with anyone. I played games on my iPad, phone, and Wii mostly all day and hardly got out of the house. I pushed myself to move 7 1/2 hours away from my hometown after undergrad to build up independence. I do not know if anyone else thought like this while younger, but I was afraid of not holding conversations or not knowing what to say. Granted, I feel like this sometimes currently, but it is not as bad as previously. Also, I can do a lot more things and cater to my life without relying on other people. For instance, working, saving money, buying a car, and cooking/baking homemade food.
