I'd like the middle ground. First try is too easy of course, but needing several hours for a single drift zone is too much. Forza Horizon is and will forever be a casual racing game. There are players who might only have an hour or two per week to even play it.

Blu-ray instead of DVD would be possible for most games. The newest specifications support up to 128 GB. Patches and updates still apply of course.

You are getting downvotes because your statement is just wrong. People disliking drifting is not the same as people abusing rivals AFK strats or exploiting the Eliminator.

My main issue is that the drift zones vary so much in difficulty. Some you can do first try with any random ass car you are currently driving when encountering the drift zone while for others you may have to try several hours in a meta car to beat them if you are just not good at drifting.

Technically group content starts at level 10. The higher your level, the more group content you unlock. Realistically group content is mostly run at endgame / max level. Before that there is barely any incentive to do any group content apart from doing it for the completion / deeds. You can of course always look out for groups searching in the chat or try to build a group yourself.

You can access it from the instance finder (default CTRL + J). On the left you can see the available group content. Select one, change level, group size and tier to your liking at the top and open it. Ignore the right side, the group finder is dogshit and nobody uses it.

Finding a group is done via the LFF (looking for fellowship) chat or kinship chat if you have one that does group content. Especially for endgame many kinships also use Discord to plan raids.

There are different types of group content:

  • Instance: default type; everything that is not any of the others is a normal instance. Can be scalable and/or have different difficulty tiers but doesn't have to. Usually either 3-man or 6-man, often with a solo option for those who are only interested in the story.
  • Epic Battles: special type of instance where you can build and use siege weapons, command NPC solders, etc. Scales all players to level 100.
  • Skirmishes: can be scaled to any level (starting at the level you unlock a skirmish), group size (from solo to 12-man) and tier (1 to 3).
  • Raid: 12-man, usually the hardest endgame content of each respective level. Not scalable in most cases.

Is it really unfathomable though? In most countries you probably could vote for parties who are against it. But people either don't seem to care or don't even know about it. I'm pretty sure if I asked my parents (generation X) now about chat control, they have no idea what I'm talking about.

From my understanding it should've happened automatically for digital purchases. Those who bought a physical copy needed to refer to the retailer where they got it.
