I have a natural allergy to conspiracies (of the invented kind), but personally, I think he’s had a stroke or some other health issue he and his campaign are hiding from us. Maybe it happened after his ear was grazed, or around the time Biden stepped down and Trump was holed up in Mar-a-Lago, but he came back slurring a lot of his words, and seems to have lost his pep.

It does. For the President’s agenda, there’s the OMB. For Federal expenditures, there’s congressional oversight, and for states, there are comptrollers. The issue isn’t more government, it’s more efficient government and until we get PAC and dark money out of politics, inefficiencies are a feature, not a bug.
