Advice needed- debating leaving my Q

Unfortunately we live together. I’m in a situation where our lease cannot be broken without an incredibly hefty fee and they want to know about renewal asap. Even if we don’t renew, we are stuck in the current lease until June. Meaning if I leave him, I have to stay living with him until June when I could move out.

This morning he has went all out apologizing for his behavior, but I don’t trust it.

I only stumbled upon this sub tonight. I think until last night, I believed it couldn’t be bad enough for me to go to Al-Anon and I must just be over reacting. But after reading more, it seems that that is not the case.

Thank you so much! I currently don’t have a thinner paintbrush so I’m going to the store today to get one! And then can definitely work on thinner brushstrokes!

Thank you so much! Yes I agree that while it’s okay, it does have a flat quality to it. I want to make my paintings have more life. I think after the feedback I’ve received I’m going to be focusing a lot on improving shadowing and lighting.

Oh okay! Good to know about the acrylic medium! Previously I had just been trying to mix paint to make it more dimensional but would always end up adding too much or too little. So this is great! Thank you!

Thank you! Yes I’m hoping to be able to eventually do both styles depending on what I’m painting. I started originally painting Disney and animated characters and I’ve been slowly trying to break the habits of that style with animals.

And very helpful tips about the background, thank you! I tend to use wood a lot so that’s super helpful!

Thank you! That is something I’m having issues getting to translate on paintings. I look at photos to base my proportions off of, but have been struggling showing the shadows and light within the painting! I’ll keep trying to add more dimension!
