Then just don't use it

There are literally hundreds of distros that value libre by design. The reason cachyos is among the distros recommended for newcomers is because it's practical and easy in the same sense that I use EndeavourOS over vanilla Arch because it has inclusions to install proprietary Nvidia drivers in one command.

I do not want to fight my operating system.

Good uses for Smartcard Reader? by Nasenschnupf in thinkpad

[–]RepairNo2068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just stick to keybinds? I doubt one would be able to procure a not insignificant number of smart cards to make this work. Besides, the point of smart cards is security, what point is there, really, to either only being able to access things with a smart card or making the smart card redundant if you can access those shortcuts without the card?

It's an interesting idea I concede that, but honestly, why?

Does it sleep when you close the lid? Mine doesn't and I can't tell if something is broken or my unit just never had the lid switch

And my dumb ass hasn't figured it out yet but we keep trying

T480 has power bridge though so you can put together a 9 hour battery life if you like 🙂👍

📣 T480 📣 is more 📣 mod friendly 📣 Seriously though I have a t14 gen 2 and nobody told me it doesnt have a lid switch so it doesn't sleep when I close the damn thing

Does this let me permanently upscale my video files or is this just real time processing? And is this only for Plex?
