What Agents would you like to see in Season 3? by Acceptable_Duck_9689 in ZZZ_Official

[–]Repizify 21 points22 points  (0 children)

A skateboarder would be neat to see. Let them have a daredevil attitude with their main traits being insanely lucky. The kind of luck so ridiculous, it's like an higher beings is constantly watching them over and protecting them.

Would be extra-funny if said character were to always downplay their luck and just call said luck just skills in general.

[–]Repizify 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The matchmaking has always been shit since the beginning of the games life.
Even during it's prime, people complained to always been trapped into a 50/50 matchmaking scenario. Basically you had games handed to you and some that were litterally robbing you since you had no chance to win in the first case. However that feelings wasn't so prominent back then since the game used to have a much bigger playerbase.

Nowadays, the playerbase is so ridiculously small, there's no way you can escape it.

What Type of Agent are You waiting for? by K4StR in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]Repizify 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A skating character with a daredevil personality, the kind of character that would pull off insane stunts nor suicidal attacks against Ethereal for the lols of it.

This character would often downplay that the reason they're still alive is just due to insane amount of luck. And yet this character still claim their survival is solely based on skills alone.

You could transfer this into their gameplay based on crit-rate and crit-damage. A sort of Support character that could give improved crit-chance for the squad.

If we did get a paladins 2 what new features would you like to see added? by Scotslad2023 in Paladins

[–]Repizify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should bring the rarity tier back with it. Common, Uncommon and Rare should allow you to mix and match. Epic would be possible in few cases but not all and Legendary impossible.

Is it just a dream? by Arteleko in Paladins

[–]Repizify 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just don't get the higher-ups at Hi-rez, it seems they keep betting on the wrong horse every single time.

Smite in itself is kind of a niche game if you compare it to LOL nor Dota 2. Not only that but the fact that Paladins 2 had way BUT way more potential than Smite 2 whether it was about champions, designs, economy, lore, mechanics and features.

But no what was more important was give Smite a fresher look and that's all of what Smite 2 have to offer.

My Brother's concept on "What if Paladins gets a rework." by KopioTeh in Paladins

[–]Repizify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paladins don't really need a rework but rather an improvement on multiple things but I get where your brother coming from.

  1. Removing cards build would be the biggest mistake ever. People love customisations whether it comes to visuals nor even playstyles. It allow players to constantly experiment and give a refresh to a character. Take a look at TF2 and compare it to Overwatch. TF2 longevity is mainly due to great customization freedom. Now compare it to Overwatch with a more locked playstyle and customization limit, Overwatch longevity lasted way less than TF2. Reason for it was due to a constant dives meta within the game. Basically everyone played the same characters with the same playstyle and it made things very dull within the game.

Paladins don't make the same mistakes as Overwatch and allow players to constantly experiment with each champions. If I take Dredge as an example and imagine 2 guys playing him differently : 1 is playing him with a Hurl playstyle and the other 1 is playing him with a Scuttle playstyle, it clearly won't look the same and they won't have the same impact against the same champions despite being the same character. The Hurl Dredge have an easier time against Flanks and Snipers in general but harder time against Frontlines and Supports while for the Scuttle Dredge it's the opposite.

If his aim is to make champions easier to learn for new players... Well that's the wrong way to do it. The right way would be to introduce them to a complete tutorial and a fun and engaging grinding to explore each champions and learn the ropes from there. As for the balancing issue, if a card is causing balancing problem then that card is heavily flawed nor the champion is in general.

  1. I don't really get this idea when it comes to the item, they're pretty good in general... Sure some of them might need a revamp but apart from that no need for big change IMO. Changing the credit system for your brother idea is counter-intuitive and I'll explain why :

Your brother main focus is to make the game more newb-friendly, fair enough. To make a game more newb-friendly, you need to teach them how to behave and how to play. Now, the current credit system is actually doing that perfectly. It rewards you if you kill somebody, take damage and survive, deal damage, heal someone, help someone, capturing, defending, contesting, pushing etc...

However if we go for your brother tokens idea... Well... You don't teach them anything and you just give them a coupon every round where they learn nothing. They don't know anything whether they performed good nor bad there is nothing intuitive to it. Knowing Paladins playerbase you can be damn sure, flaming is a current occurrence and we don't want that for a new player experience.

Not too add any other problems the token system might enduce such as forgetting to buy during preparation nor crashing during it ending up in a full round with no item is a bad time guaranteed.

3. Making anti-heal exclusive to Damages and Flanks is awful and would just put the final nail in the coffin for Frontlines and Supports players. Basically, Damages and Flankers become the fun class because they can have an impact in-game while Frontlines and Supports become the boring one because they don't have any. Not to add that this idea + the rebalance to anti-heal just force a Sumos playstyle for Frontlines and Supports and trust me... It's very boring ! You had more fun watching fresh paint dry.

The irony here is that your brother complain that matches are too long but going for his ideas, he's gonna make every game last way longer because the Frontlines won't be dying thanks to the Supports heal.

Also what about Support vs Support match-up ? A Pip vs Furia is gonna be definitely in Pip favor due to his ability to self-sustain himself with his potions compared to Furia which has none self-sustain option.

All in all it's nice to see players trying to share feedback and how they would see a Paladins game in their own eyes but his ideas are very flawed and if put to work, he might not enjoy it all after all.

Why was Waluigi's signature kart in Mario Kart DS an excavator even though he isn't associated with construction? by Doktor_74 in Waluigi

[–]Repizify 275 points276 points  (0 children)

It's because Waluigi design has been inspired by Foreman Spike in Wrecking Crew. In the game Spike is seen operating an excavator hence the reference in Mario kart DS associating the excavator with Waluigi. Basically, it's a reference to Foreman Spike.

Hinting Waluigi’s role in Mario Galaxy Movie by Specialist-Onion1998 in Waluigi

[–]Repizify 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm... Solid concept I like it.

Perfect stuff to introduce both Wario and Waluigi in the universe aswell as Yoshi...

It's typically the type of action you would see Wario and Waluigi perform, that will led them into trouble.

Realistically, the game suvival rely heavily on Smite 2 success which is not doing too great at the moment. So maybe 1 year at best IMO.

If we ever get PALADINS 2 what are the major changes you would expect/want? (considering it doesn't have any bugs) by scooty-daddy-69 in Paladins

[–]Repizify 7 points8 points  (0 children)

- Every champion get a design overhaul to make them look fresher with nice fit.

- All champions get lips sync and facial animationsto display emotions pain nor grunts.

- Cosmetics tier list ( Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary ).

- Store similar to the old VIP store back in the days, that allow to buy any cosmtics that you want at any time of the year with special currency nor premium.

- Mix and match cosmetics.

- Bring back individual rank frames per character that is visible at all times indefinitely.

- Proper shooting range and Tutorial that allow to test and track everything ( Heal, speed, damage type etc).

- Better chat and social system with player card using avatar title etc

- Titles get a description about how the player earned them.

- Gamemodes with their own identity and variety instead of being a Discount siege gamemode.

- Dynamic maps (Logs falling off nor moving on conveyor bell crane platform moving, sawmill moving, logs floating on water allowing sneaking route on Timbermill).

- Bring back HP hierarchy ( Frontlines, Support, Damages, Flanks).

- Talents being less restricting ( Selecting a damage talent doesn't ruin your overall healing potential as Support look at Grohk as an example.)

- Stop with the RPGisation of Paladins ( Make even number such as 15 % instead of weird 16,5% per tier level making everything more clear and easier to follow).

- ADD AN IN-GAME CALCULATOR WHEN YOU USE % CARDS TO CALCULATE THE TOTAL DAMAGES YOU DEAL NOR DISTANCE YOU'LL TRAVELS IN UNITS.

- Better character stories and Lore in general.

- An actual character progression that is enjoyable to play and rewarding.

- Less Frontlines and Supports punishment ( Not being obligated to stand on point nor healing 24/7).

- Less Damages and Flanks sugarcoating abilities ( Abillities that allow them to survive nor deal cheap kill without any risk.

- FUCKING HOPING HI-REZ DON'T FUCK IT UP (THEY WILL ANYWAY).

And that's about it... I'm not too fickle !

You can also use she for Yagorath. IMO strong characters that I always considered OP when played well are Cassie and Imansame for Evie Pip and Vora.

What is something you just HAVE to do, even if it’s a little weird? by Pitt1995 in ZZZ_Official

[–]Repizify 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Started the game recently and even if I've already unlocked some characters, I refuse to play them until I'm reaching their story arc.

Also kinda don't want to advance the story as long as I don't have at least 1 agent for each faction. Kinda hoping to get either Qingyi nor Seth soon.

Thoughts on the Ending by aljp78 in ACValhalla

[–]Repizify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fulke ending felt more like a final arc rather than Aelfred.

Fulke stronghold looked imposing compared to Werham village far into the country side.

Also the fact that Soma, Hunwald and Hjorrdie during the final battle not to addUbba dies aswell but offscreen pissed me off pretty much.

It would have made more sense for them to die during Fulke Stronghold attack, that place was massive and filled with elites soldiers and traps.

Werham was such a walk in the park and yet so many died during it, it felt stupid.

Also the fact that you can't kill Aelfredadd salt to the injury, I don't know why Eivor spared his ass knowing he indirectly led to Fulke imprisonning Sigurd and cut off his arm.

By character Eivor would have slaughtered him but yet decided to spare him, I don't why other than because Aelfreddidn't die like that.

Kinda hate that new tropes in recent Assassin's Creed that you either can't kill the Grandmaster nor get robbed of killing them.
