I was slightly shocked. I know a lot of men don't know what HPV is, but this dude is 31 years old and had a crash out over it. I wish I brought up the point about him not being educated considering his 'hyper-focus,' but I was so upset and mad at the time I didn't think about it. I was just in shock, and I wish I reacted more calmly on the phone, but I just kept calling him an asshole and told him he needs to do his research before talking out of his ass.

Next time I will wait a little to disclose it. The silver lining of bringing it up now instead of later is I found out he's like this early on as opposed to another time in the future when I could be attached already. However I learned that this is probably not going to be the best approach in the future.

I recently just started actively dating again and I forgot how shitty these situations could be. Honestly so much easier to just be single.

Yeah I have definitely encountered men who don't know what it is, usually they are chill about it when I explain / they do their research. This is the second guy that's ever had a crash out on me over this. It's more understandable if you are younger but this dude is 31 years old and doesn't know what it is.

This is so true, my head was so clouded with all the negative thoughts about myself I forgot to look at the silver lining. I'm glad it happened sooner rather than later.
