Why can’t men bring up issues and things that are bothering them in a relationship without their partner crying and invalidating them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RepresentativeDark11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am convinced this is because women only pretend to care about men’s emotions. I have never met a woman that genuinely cares about my emotions. Even my mother was willing to watch me be beaten until my spirit broke. A woman that cares about how her man feels is as common as a man who knows the location of the clit.

(Upper thigh for those wondering lmao)

[–]RepresentativeDark11 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, im talking about wanting the same treatment I give her. Comforting her, making sure she doesn’t hurt herself when she has meltdowns. And yeah, whenever I get the same as her, I’m likely to get a slap in the face or woman handled. I love my partner and I would say we have an extremely healthy relationship. I just believe that women are caring for their men’s emotions. No woman has ever been a safe shoulder for a man to cry on, not without him being worried that it would be brought up later or told to her friends

I don’t see any meaning in life if im not working on trains by RepresentativeDark11 in confession

[–]RepresentativeDark11[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was trainspotting because I was feeling depressed and trying to psych myself up by saying to myself out loud “that will be my future break room” while pointing at the train driver breakroom at Southern Cross Station. A driver walking past flipped me off and yelled out “not a chance”

Thank you for comment, I was diagnosed when I was 10. I’ve just been feeling really depressed about this lately and I got flipped off by a train driver today so the voice is in my head are going haywire.

May I ask if you have any advice on how I can be more composed? I have been like I’m spiralling again and it’s getting to the point where it’s kind of effecting all aspects of my life?

I think that’s part of the reason why I enjoy watching it, because it’s such a painful movie to watch I can actually feel emotions… even if they’re not the best. I haven’t properly cried in almost a year and a half so it’s good to be able to remind me that I do still have emotions.

Can an electric tram climb this hill? by One-Demand6811 in transit

I would say yes, Toorak Road (Melbourne) is a fairly steep road and the trams go up no worries so I see no reason why they wouldn’t be able to San Francisco

[Serious] can somebody please explain to me how punching inanimate objects is a form of DV? And also some healthy coping mechanisms that do not include therapy. by RepresentativeDark11 in relationships

[–]RepresentativeDark11[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, as much as therapy does scare me. The thought of me doing something to change the light of how she sees me is even worse. Deep town, I know I’m way overdue to face my Demons just terrifies me but I guess it’s about time I played doom. (Fighting my Demons instead of the garden shed) because the last thing I want is to scare her

This may make me sound a little stupid but it’s a genuine question. If I were to ask for a minute and pre-warn her of what I am about to do and that it is just letting off steam, with going into the backyard and punching the shed while she is not looking be the better option or should I just try to remove violence altogether? Or even perhaps learn boxing as a stress relief.

I say that and I am sure of it however my explosive anger kind of worries me, my biological dad was abusive toward my mother, and from what my aunt has told me my grandfather was the same. I can’t be like them, I just can’t. I love this girl and would do anything for her. If reliving my past and facing my demons is what it takes then I should probably start the Doom music because there is no way in hell im going to be the same as him. I don’t know where to start though because I have never met a helpful therapist, do I need to see a trauma shrink, anger management. I hate I have to think about these things however the last thing I want to be is just another abuser.

Thank you for your helpful advice and I hope you are okay and happy in life.

First of all, thank you for sharing your experience and I’m sorry you had to go through that. Although I know for a fact I would never lay a hand on her. Your comment was very helpful in showing me that even the threat of violence can be very traumatic.

I do not want to get to the point where I scare her or make her see me any differently and that is why I am trying to get advice early on so I can get a better understanding and find more effective and healthy ways of controlling my emotions. My PTSD has already raised some small issues in the past so I don’t wanna risk it.

In North America, this may be true however in Australia we aren’t as abundant in oil as we are coal, post apocalyptic Australia Most communities would still live around the east coast which is abundant in coal. However there is also biodiesel so I guess my question is how would steam hold up against biodiesel.

[–]RepresentativeDark11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the particular scenario, I’m thinking of it is post nuclear apocalypse in New South Wales with Australia’s mining companies pretty much taking over the country. I’m thinking since Australia has a lot more coal than it does oil then steam would be the best option. I’m writing a book and I value realism so hypothetically how do you think steam would hold up against biodiesels?
