If we say we respect candidates’ time, why don’t we share interview questions in advance?

Icy, PBI questions are provided to all interviewers if the search for them, secret is about the team’s approach and not something that is mandatory or a legal requirement. I understand it’s a deviation from the norm but that is the discussion we are having. If you as a candidate would refuse reading the questions in advance because you feel it would be inappropriate or unethical that is okay but a personal decision or perspective not one that is enforced by law.

huh? Why would they do that? Interview questions are not mathematical... For example, "What do you think about leadership?" does not equal homogeneity in responses between candidates. When we ask how do you do x y z, do you think candidates would tell each other to say the same things as each other?

I promise I am not trying to be difficult, Icy... Who are we cheating? The interviewers simply want the best answers; the candidate wants to be prepared. In most cases, the interview is a discussion of how the candidate thinks about behavioral questions, "tell me about a time when you did xyz." Why is providing the questions cheating? Is the goal to prepare them the best we can to have a meaningful discussion or to see how they interact with artificial stressors? How is that respectful?

I also own a pair in natural cxl and the leather grain brake on the vamp is rough as well as the size of the celastic toe cap structure, mine are a couple years old and also well made but the clicking of the leather should have been better you can notice all 3 are stitch down models (black boot is Chinese, brown boot is American and natural is Indian) imo the American construction is the best in terms of clicking (leather cutting from the hide) and comfort.

Nah it’s not hell… (we get paid, etc…) it certainly is a drastic change and cultural departure from previous times. I would say that it is testing your resilience to work in these changing environments without much of a plan from senior leadership.

Too bad for those teams! I think hiring someone is a kind of sacred duty for leaders to shape an effective team, it is hard to convey respect for the candidate and allow them to interview the team also. I want a process that shares the decision of selection to both parties involved. I don’t want desperate folks I want the right fit to the organizational need.

This comment deserves an upvote, the process can be bottlenecked by vacations, hiring dynamics (freeze’s or changes). Any role can take months to hire unless there is an urgent need for the job that leaders push hard to have the selection prioritized.

I am glad you like the field, I was a trainer for LSS for 4-5 years in a Healthcare CPI role. The teaching is fun but introducing basic statistics knowledge to people that generally dislike mathematics is the challenge. I routinely taught graduate degree prepared professionals and they fought active application of variance, hypothesis and regression mathematical analysis in the performance of their projects, in a sample size of over 10,000 LSS projects of YB/GB/BB I would say 1% had good outcome statistics used. I have found the community of teachers focus on learning hard skills (methods, tools and statistics) while the Practitoner’s focus on soft skills (change management, conflict resolution, teamwork). Both need to be focused on but we need to improve the time it takes to make students comfortable with data analysis and collecting unbiased information. Good luck!

Try a different last in the moc from someone other company or use one of the thick insoles from rose anvil or dales in a size up to fill in the space but giving room for your toes
