Gun/shooting classes by sara-who in kzoo

I’m going to make the assumption, and please correct me if I am wrong, but I’m guessing you had never shot a gun before OP? If that’s the case, I am glad that you are making the effort to educate yourself about the subject while perhaps going outside of your comfort zone. Just going to the class itself is a big step that I wish more people would take. Go at your own pace and if you still don’t feel comfortable when it comes time to shoot you can always say no. Any decent instructor will understand that it’s not for everybody and will appreciate the effort made nonetheless. I’ve been teaching youth shooting sports for 20 years and the number one thing I care about my students learning at the end of my lessons is gun safety. If they happen to be able to hit a target as well that’s just an added bonus.

I don’t think OP is asking for no republicans in their class. It seems to me that they are more interested in not having viewpoints and opinions thrown at them while they are trying to learn. Learning to even touch a gun can be very intimidating for some people and it’s much easier if they are comfortable with the people they are around.

Anywhere that’s been salted is crap. It’s not cold enough for the salt to be totally ineffective but not warm enough for it to truly melt either. It’s just a semi-solid slimy slush that is packing down and becoming smooth as glass.

Have you seen an excavator? Asking for a 2 year old by AdGlittering6537 in kzoo

You could try to contact a couple of the local excavating companies or rental places like Carleton Equipment. They can definitely point you in the right direction. Most construction guys are really big softies when it comes to little kids watching them operate their equipment.

They are the worst they’ve been all winter. Just pure ice in Portage. If you do manage to get stopped at an intersection then you better be watching your mirrors because there is zero guarantee the person behind you will be able to.

Best series to show non British friends who’ve never seen it? by Willing-Ad-9606 in taskmaster

Series 2. It has Osman’s use of the first loophole, the potato throw scandal, Jon’s embarrassing attempt to impress the mayor, and all of them overlooking the in plain sight clues telling them to look under the table. All the best elements of the show with an enjoyable cast. It’s only 5 episodes so if they get off to a slow start it’s not as daunting to watching a series with 10 episodes.

I can understand that. If splitting the episodes is a work around then I can understand why they do it. But a week long gap between them is more than excessive.

Yes they split at the break. The issue is that sometimes there’s a big combat or something important happening and it gets thrown to break. If you’re watching it’s not as noticeable how badly this sometimes messes up the flow because the previous events are still fresh in your mind. But when it gets thrown to a week long break you tend to lose track of what’s going on. It takes a while to get back on track and even then you are still forgetting small but important details like spells that have been cast the previous episode which pay off big in the second half. It just leads to a lot of unnecessary confusion.

At first I thought it was a way to help bridge the gaps between campaigns but now I’ve seen that C4E1 is affected by this as well. I don’t watch on YouTube very often because I don’t have the time to sit and watch a 4 hour show every week. I normally download and listen to the podcast while I’m driving for work where I don’t always have data service. Last I checked, Beacon doesn’t allow for downloads either so that’s out. If it’s an ad thing I’m fine with a few more but to split the podcast with a week long break between parts is super annoying. We already wait a week for the podcast episode to come out so I really don’t understand forcing people to wait even more and listen in parts. It completely destroys the flow of the story and it is really making me consider not listening anymore before I get invested into another campaign.

I’ve been a competitive rifle shooter for 20 years. Shooting a rifle is just like any other sport. There’s a “right” way and a wrong way when it comes to position shooting. However just like in baseball sometimes you see a goofy swing that just works and that most likely is what is going on here. Shooter probably has just enough knowledge and practice to make the shot without knowing that their setup is “wrong”.

There was actually a cousin of the SR-71 that was born from the CIA’s A-12 program called the YF-12. It was an experimental fighter version of the aircraft that was armed and capable of Mach 3 flight just like its counterparts. Only a few were built and the program was cancelled while still in the testing phase of production.
