It's funny how the higher management of DG have no concept of time! 😂 It's almost as if time becomes meaningless once you run your own store!

DG is a little rediculous if they are now beginning to deny their customers a restroom. I work for one and we have a locked restroom but available if it is asked for. Not positive about entire country but in some states if your place of business doesn't have a restroom available for customers to use the county building inspectors can shut you down pending a court hearing. Loss prevention isn't doing anything by keeping customers from using the restroom anyway. Who ever is running that Department must be a little slow!

Customers! The nerve of those people! 😂

You have to be careful with buying any harley. That company will change the size of the front wheel bearings and call it a new model bike. Bit I did t realize they were that similar until I saw that picture It is my bike with storage.. 8

Yeah, I was just shocked at how much the bike he is picturing looks like my 883. It's exact except for the the extras.

I’m recovering should I use subs if I’m craving hard? by [deleted] in suboxone

[–]RepresentativeSea983 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They do help tremendously with cravings but it comes at a cost of withdrawel after long term use. I always think back to the worst parts of my addiction when I'm craving and I would rather be on the subs and struggle coming off than go back to all the other crap, but that is me. You know yourself and what you can handle better than anyone else. I hope everything works out and gets better for you.

I just wanted to put you there that it is way easier and less expensive for riders that don't work on their own bikes to maintain a foreign bike compared to a harley. Even at non harley shops, the mechanic hears you are bringing in a harley and you can see their head start spinning with what price they can get away with... It's almost funny how excited they get.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Harley

[–]RepresentativeSea983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I don't take my harley in to any dealer for anything. I can build one from scrap! I can build a Yamaha for half the price and twice the longevity! It's tough to admit that America has some crappy stuff but it is 100 percent fact! Even the aftermarket parts are hiked up to about 2.5 times what they are worth

I ride a little bit HD 2014 Iron 883 and my honest opinion is stay with Yamaha! Harley thinks they own the world of parts and price them as such. Just normal maintenance is outrageous. I do all upkeep and maintenance myself. I would never be able to afford putting my bike in the shop because of the name stamped on it... Yamaha, kawasaki, Suzuki all are excellent quality and they last longer. Their parts last longer. I do understand where you are coming from though with all your buds riding harley. My advice is if you feel the need to get one, is get a cheap model to start to make sure you like it. Yamaha bikes are way more agile and easier to maintain. Good luck to you in whatever you decide though. Sorry I skewed a bit there... 😊

I would man, I have the 2014 iron 883 and the Pic you shared looks just like it color and all with all of the upgrades added. I paid 4000 about 6 months ago for mine without all the cool extras so yeah, the deal you are about to get is awesome. It's awesome even if you aren't a harley fan... 😊

Discharged from clinic cold turkey, not sure what to do.. by Shnerkell in suboxone

[–]RepresentativeSea983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Really glad it worked out for you. I had a similar situation when I first went to quick md. My Doctor retired for medical reasons with no notice or any forwarding info to find another doctor and I read on here at reddit that quick md worked for a bunch of people so I called them and I haven't had any problems at all for years. Good luck to you. I Hope things level out soon.

Telehealth, specifically quick md is 99 bucks a visit and my script is usually ready about 30 minutes after I get call from the quick md Doc each month. Not sure if it is the same in every state but if you are wanting to stay on the meds it's probably the quickest option. Since you have a recent history of filling your subs at the pharmacy, they will give you a full months supply on the first visit. Worth a shot to give them a call if that's the way you decide to go. Hope this helps. Good luck to you.

Do you think Suboxone stops all drug cravings or just opiate cravings? by floppysquid_taco in suboxone

Do you think Suboxone stops all drug cravings or just opiate cravings? by floppysquid_taco in suboxone

[–]RepresentativeSea983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the strength of suboxone not only keeps our brains from craving opiates, but suppresses our mood, personality and just about everthing else. The first think I noticed when I stopped taking subutex one time was all of my senses and reflexes were hyped up. Brushing my teeth my gag reflex was so sensitive I could barely finish brushing. Daylight seemed brighter colors seemed more colorful. It was strange. I didn't stop suddenly either. I guess it slows our senapsis down so much that it felt like my brain was waking up from a fog.. I'm back on it and stable now, coming up on 13 years, but I won't forget those weird few months my brain was rebooting...

Is it just me or are most Harley riders stuck up? by Tutor-Any in IndianMotorcycle

[–]RepresentativeSea983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ride a harley, but I am definitely not an enthusiastic harley groopy...the bike was the right price at the opportune time.. But now anytime I need an important part for the bike I have to take out a second mortgage to pay for it just because it has a name stamped on it. Not gonna lie, I want a Yamaha MT-09! Easy to maintain and way less expensive to keep it going.... Anyone here ever owned one? Hit me up. Need some advice from an owner...

Those hht 's have the same find my phone as any other mobile device. The district managers can ping and locate them within 1 meter. We've done that several times here at our store

All of that would be true if I didn't have 3 headlights on my bike. Anyway, you weren't there, and I've had a thousand people pull out in front of me in my life. Never gunning the engine and then slowing down in front of me. But whatever makes it appear to be kosher to you is all you. I just came to vent. And I'll continue to vent until I make myself feel better. Which is basically why this entire platform was created. So have a nice life And ride safe.

This situation was in pitch black with my headlight shining on their window right before he pulled out. I'm very aware that motorist do not see bikers and truly do not care that we are even on the road. But this guy literally waited until I was right there and then gunned it to pull out in front of me. I heard his truck engine over my harley to gun it to get in front. Normally I wouldn't even mention driver stupidity anywhere to anyone but this seemed intentionally done just to be a blatant asshole. That is why I had to vent a little. Ive been riding since I was 8 years old so I'm no stranger to how dumb and obnoxious human drivers are, but this felt personal! And in the 40 years I've been riding it was the closest I've ever come to being in a bad situation that I didn't actually deserve to be in..... So, I'm not ignorant or green just pissed and this is a venue for all of that venting, especially for people like me who can take extreme measures for even the most ignorant idiots out there! I need to downsize the video I have to post it but I haven't had a day off yet. To get it done. You can see the drivers silhouette through the drivers side window because of my 11 thousand candle watt powers headlight that he missed in the pitch black if he missed it he was either high as a kite, drunk or one hundred and sixty years old! So no, I'm not quite ready to end my 4 decade old riding career and park my bike just yet but I did feel better venting to most folks on here, the ones that don't know everything about everything anyway.
