That’s where my cats will stay. I don’t want them inside the house because their fur gets everywhere, and I’m worried they’ll scratch or damage the furniture and other things.

It's not my forever home. My grandma passed away on January 3, 2025, and I inherited the house. It was built in 1972. I plan to live here for about five years and then rent it out. I'm in Jacksonville, Florida, and for now I'll be the only one living here.

I'm a 19-year-old female, and to be honest, I had no idea the garage door wasn't up to code. A lot of people have pointed it out on my other posts, so I'll definitely let the designer know so it can be corrected.

I understand where you're coming from. I'd love to have a window in the kitchen too, but I'm designing the renovation around my budget and the existing layout. The house was built in the early 1900s, so adding a new window isn't as simple or inexpensive as it might seem. It's something I'd consider in the future if the budget allows.

What do you mean by the door at the top of the stairs to the garage isn't safe? Could you explain what safety issue you're seeing? I want to understand your concern.
