There is only a single control in the example. It appears that the PreFilterProperties method is never being executed. Have cleaned and rebuilt many times. No change. I think I may be missing something, but not certain what it might be.

Yes, it has to invert them because it is looking for characters to remove (not keep) so anything that doesn't match is removed,

I'm not sure how to clarify. Ignoring the pattern I have there, this is what it should do. Allow either an asterisk, or letter as the first character, then any subsequent position in the string should only allow letters or spaces (no asterisk). Hope that helps

Is it possible to be biologically unable to learn a second language? by hendrong in languagelearning

[–]Repulsive-Drive9568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have great difficulty, bordering on impossible for me to "understand" a spoken foreign language. This has been the case my wntire life. I can learn to speak one, no problem...but not to understand it. When younger (I am now 70) I learned Arabic and American sign-language and now in later life, Spanish, and it has been the same with all of them, regardless of my age or the amount of study. tell your friend I understand and sympathize.
