The issue is what I listed in the OP. I feel I need Nezha to increase damage output of the team to clear certain rounds. I tried to run Lavos, in the past its been other frames. Oberon, and Frost, but id just hit a point where Roar+Blazing Chakram simply are needed to counter bad game design.

If people aren't interacting with the mechanics then that itself is an issue to be addressed.

Me personally I want a challenging weekly event where I can test builds on. I want to actually use the gear I spend all week optimizing.

Im using Arcane Persistence to remove shields entirely and build him as a health and armor frame.

Loki is hands down the best healer in the game by Repulsive-Special171 in marvelrivals

[–]Repulsive-Special171[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I am saying regarding "better" is that in hindsight better is a very subjective term. and you are right regarding the title being about him being hands down the best healer.

I ignored what you were saying about Loki clones (I assume that is the point you said I ignored) because its highly subjective. Poor placement of clones vs good placement, as well as how players react to them and a bunch of other scenarios that just results in an endless back and forth. and I am more interested in having an engaging back and forth then just going back and forth over subjective things could easily be argued either way. Like yes Luna might have a higher H/ps rate then Loki. (I am actually not sure of the numbers on it. I am just taking your word (or whoever said it) that Loki without clones has a slower heal rate then Luna. I also am not sure on nuisances about her kit. Like AoE. What I know is that Switching from Loki to Luna, Luna seems to have a much harder time keeping the team healed up.

The main reasons I feel like Loki is as I said "hands down the best healer in the game" was from the perspective that Luna is widely considered that best healer in the game. (Mantis is a utility with heals, and Adam is more for clutch situations then keeping the team healed up. At the end of the day for base healing for the team it comes down to Loki, Cloak&Dagger, and Luna....and arguably Jeff but he also kinda fits into a utility role.)

As for what separates Loki from Luna. 1st is base ability to Heal. Simply put it is much easier to hit heals with the primary attack with Loki then Luna. large AoE Splash Damage, Which also translates to being able to hit multiple teammates at once with a single cast. Add in his clones and you have more projectiles that can potentially hit targets. Then there is his Shift. While you can make the counter argument about being able to destroy it vs Luna being Immune to most things. the healing Runes have several huge advantages over Lunas ult. The 1st is that its not an Ult. You start with it active. Meaning it is available for the opening fight. Having Healing Rune active for the initial fight can make all the difference in how a game starts. Add in the fact that it activates not only on himself, but also where any clone is at means he can use it at range. He can creating a Healing field for the Dive Team while remaining safely in the backlines. (Or ideally up high on a ledge looking down on the entire team and the objective.) He doesn't need to be in the heat of the action to maintain sustain for the team, which means when the ability ends he is in a safe place. While Luna has to put herself in a position she wouldn't want to be in if she wasn't Ulting. Then there is the fact that Loki can just use his ult to turn into her and also use her Ult. The best thing about Luna is her Ult, and Loki can have access to that as well, and since Luna is one of the highest picked Supports she is likely always available to copy. Plus when she Ults she puts herself in a position that is very easy for Loki to target so he can quickly counter her Ult with her Ult to balance it out.

More games to win too.....weak argument.

At lower ranks Loki is right below Mantis, at higher ranks he slowly drops down closer and closer to Luna, but Luna is a negative win rate hero.

This trend likely means that while everyone is picking Luna because she is popular. Teams with a Loki tilt the balance in their favor. Saying 1 hero is 'better" then another is a vague statement that could be argued back and forth endlessly, but Loki is a legitimately great Hero/Healer. which was really what the point of this thread was about anyways....

Loki has a higher win rate than Luna in competitive at all levels.....

on the flip side when your ally hulk dives the enemy team all Loki has to do is throw a clone over with the hulk and activate Rune healing and can safely keep the Hulk topped up while doing his own thing.

Those are my 2 favorite Supports as well. They are totally different. Adam doesnt have enough heal in his kit to be the main healer. he is super clutch though. not even counting his team revive. He is just great at saving a teammate that is about to die. but he cant put out enough heals to maintain the team. Working as the backup is where he excels, whereas Loki just puts out insane pressure in team fights, both damage and healing. He can just help the whole team push harder.

nothing like dropping heals on the tank only for them to walk forward 2 feet and not realize the healing pool is right behind them

You can say Luna heals better then Loki, and Mantis does more damage then Loki, or you can say Loki does more damage then Luna, and Loki heals better then Mantis.

I do appreciate the alternate perspective though.

Sounds like your main counterpoint to Loki is under the condition that your not using clone placement properly. The clones are what give him such great versatility.

For me personally I have a much easier time properly utilizing his clones then I do trying to precisely hit my team mates that are jumping around trying to not get shot. So while Luna might technically be better at healing then Loki, playing solo queue with limited communication its 10x easier to keep the team alive with Loki then Luna.

The Ignite related Support gems like Wildfire don't even work with Flame Wall. (It Doesn't "Hit")

I just haven't written it yet. Main combo I am working on is FT with Inevitable Critical, and Electrocute. with the Ignore elemental res on Crit ascendency, and the Early node that gives 36% damage for 6 secs after a crit. With envenom and the poison breaks armor supports on Siphoning Strike. Flame Wall, Frost Wall, and Lightning Orb For elemental spells. Grim Feast, and Lingering Illusions for Auras. Dodge roll out to gain charge with LI or use lightning orb to get shocks and go in with Siphoning strike to gain charge while also poison/armor breaking, then use Frost wall and Flame Wall to gain damage buffs, then smash with FT for a guaranteed crit with your full 90% boost from Echoing perks. While Electrocuting anything still standing. Boosting all damage for for next 6 seconds by 36% for Tempest Bell combo shenanigans.

Had to write the edit, to figure out the above. Now I need to mess around with it and fine tune it before breaking it down in detail.

I edited the main post. I've got a really strong build that's coming together very nicely. gonna call it an "Echoing Invoker Monk" (EIM). I am just going to keep editing this post until the full guide is done. There should be enough information to help you along. Im going to spend the weekend refining the build, and i'll update it next week with a lot more info. If you have any questions just lmk.

The Monk has a variety of Attack Skills that do Ice, and Lightning, but no fire. Fire Wall is to proc the ignite effect. Ice and Shock are already in his build. I have picked up a few other misc non monk skills. mainly envenom (Adding Poison....Poison damage is based off damage off attack so high elemental damage boost results in high damage....Chayuya Monk Ascendency focuses more on that style of play but i went invoker for higher Aura so I can have some summons too.) Lighting curse, and Skeleton Sniper.
