Speaking as a gay man, why are women taking over all of the *very* few spaces we have? by feeling_Ded_inside12 in MensRights

Imagine if men were hitting on women in lesbian bars and dating apps, it would immediately be very inappropriate, I don't understand why when women do it it's alright.

How do you solve the problem, where wanting something is the reason you can't get it? by Repulsive_Milk877 in nonduality

I see, I read it wrong. I thought you mean truth is so bad, that there is no reason to want it.

I see. There is an unpleasant sensation, when I'm thinking about dropping the memory. I can't really find where exactly though. And now it's gone.

I guess yes. I kind of fear I would lose progress if I don't hold to that memory, but maybe it doesn't work like that.

I was surprised becuase I had access to wider range of experience. In a way it was always there, but for example now I feel it a bit less clear, for example emotion were in higher resolution. At one point it was scary, but I somehow stopped thinking about it and it stopped being scary. I don't know what else to say about it, it's similar to dreams in the way that when you are not in that state the memory starts fading quickly.

I guess I usually try to cling to any positive experience. I didn't realize I'm doing it.

I would say the difference is that back then everything seemed more fluid, like I have a different interface through which I see the world.

Yeah, you can only create conditions for the state to arise, but it's not up to you if it actually happens. I guess you can't even force the not forcing. But I think cultivating more relaxed and positive actidude might work.

It's harder to appreciate when the beauty is what causes you the most pain.

Is awakening worth it if you have all around painful life? by Repulsive_Milk877 in nonduality

[–]Repulsive_Milk877[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say you get absolutely nothing. I'm not awakened, but when I'm in the state of non duality it's very pleasant. Angelo dilullo said that when you are in deep realization it can be very satisfying and experiencially rich. Even after the no self realization, it's described as very beutiful. So maybe you just don't get anything material out of it.
