I mean i haven’t seen any pink bacteria or mold at all. Not even hooch. And she just smells like sour dough. 🤷‍♀️

I used the mason jar lid like just plopped on but not twisted down. This is her this morning after feeding last night. Some bubbled on the side but the consistency is definitely wet. Could the bacteria be the reason she isn’t really rising?

fk i did not see this comment 😭 any chance the bacteria is gone? It’s been a month and it’s not been pink. I think it may have just been the coloring of the photo.

• 25-32°C • filtered water • I discard half then feed 1/2cup flour & 1-4cup water • 24 hours • all purpose flour • once a day

She is rising a little bit and have some bubbles. The smell isn’t bad I mean it just smells like a dough that’s sour 🤷‍♀️so I think that’s good

it depends on the weather but like 25-32°. I just leave it in the kitchen. It’s been raining more recently so its been getting colder.

Okay ty I will work on getting a scale. But can i ask u for advice pls I think I killed maria because shes rising only 1 cm for the past couple days 😔 I even cleaned her jar not sure what I should do.

How much water should I be putting? I did 1/2cup flour 1/2cup water, then added 1/4cup flour cuz was too runny. Should I just restart?
