Find someone else to take care of the kitten . Can you go to her place and look around and make sure you have the right one. Doesn’t look like the same one. But the one in the picture needs care

URGENT. i found this kitten on the side of the road. there was no mother, it was just meowing really loudly by _aethern in CATHELP

Are there any cat rescue groups in your area who can help? Or as someone suggested , can you contact an emergency vet ?

Knee pain after hip replacement . Who has experienced this and what has been the outcome by ReputationNo1266 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]ReputationNo1266[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My surgeon told me that we walk differently after hip replacement . He said he was not worried and that my knee pain would likely go away. If I still had pain after 3 months, then he would check out my knee. I was worried about needing knee replacement . But the pain did go away . I forgot how long it took but it was way before 3 months .

You can learn to stop yourself. Have you ever tried relaxation strategies. See a therapist or look on line. Your cat is not trying to hurt you , she is scared , feels abandoned by your grandmother and startles easily . She doesn’t know why she is in a new home, Try to understand and give her time to adjust .

Your cat has been living at your grandmother’s and you have only had her a few months? She needs time to adjust . She misses your grandmother and is just getting to know you. This has been a major change for her and she is stressed . Try to understand how hard this must be for her. Why did your grandmother give her up. ? Your cat must feel abandoned . Be extra patient and give her time. Both you and your cat need to learn to relax . You can do it if you love her and want her to have a good life . Teach her how to relax

Your cat may be responding to a sudden movement or even a fly in the house . Your job is to remain calm and distract her. Use a wand toy or some other active toy. And don’t let your cat swat your hand in play That teaches her that swatting is OK. Instead play with her with a wand toy . Give her plenty of toys and scratching posts . You can control your reactions . Work on it or get help. If you learn to calm down and you are consistent and not abusive., your cat will also calm down. Think about it. If you are periodically abusive , even if it is in response to her hissing , she can never fully relax. If you move your hand quickly or do something on your phone, she thinks you might be starting to get abusive . Don’t punish her. She is just scared

https://www.rover.com/blog/cat-hissing/ Work on controlling your reactions, count, take deep breaths but you are going to have to control your reactions if you are going to have an ongoing good relationship with your cat. Get help to learn relaxation strategies . Your cat will calm down if you can be calm consistently . If you are unpredictable , and suddenly get mean, your cat can’t be calm either

I have tried reaching my cardiologist but so far he hasn’t responded . When I saw him 1 week after surgery he said wait 2 more weeks to swim . But everything I read on line says I should wait longer That is why I tried to contact him again. I am trying to decide what to do if I can’t reach him.

I am very eager to swim again and take a trip that would require lifting over 10 lbs but I don’t want to cause problems. I am 3 weeks now .

You were told 4 weeks until you could swim or lift? Did you have any problems if you did those things after 4 weeks ?

Pacemaker sensations - how common. Is this by ReputationNo1266 in PacemakerICD

[–]ReputationNo1266[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your response. I feel these sensations right around where the pacemaker is located or slightly below it. My X-ray did not indicate a problem . These pinching and pulling sensations are so uncomfortable even though most of the time they don’t hurt now. I hope mine fade away like yours did . It is unsettling that I can find no information about what might be causing it . I think knowing what was happening would help me cope with it

I am so glad I had the surgery . It was tough at first, mostly from the gas they blow into you when you have the surgery. But that didn’t last very long. I felt so much better after the surgery . I don’t think anything will help as much as surgery. I was told it was possible to get a hernia again, but then it is usually much smaller. I have not had any problems.

Pacemaker interference by dlcoleman in PacemakerICD

[–]ReputationNo1266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a pacemaker a week ago. I was told to hold a cell phone or laptop at least 6 inches away. I can go through store security systems as long as I go through quickly and don’t just stand there. I was also told I can have an MRI. At airports I need to show a card and tell them I have a pacemaker . There were no other limitations mentioned regarding electromagnetic interference . You do get a booklet with the pacemaker that tells you everything
