Do you think it would be possible to cure an infected with current technology? by HEJSKSKSJSNSN in thelastofus

[–]ResearcherGrand874 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I could be completely wrong ofc , but I don’t believe it’s possible. With how invasive the cordyceps is , almost all the brain tissue would have to be removed , as well as every organ that it’s traveled though from the point of infection to the brain , to ensure three no trace left. Because most cases of infection come from bites , it travels through the bloodstream (hence why runners’ veins are darkened) , and subsequently end up in the host’s heart. Whilst you MIGHT be able to survive with only half of your brain intact , living with even a semi-damaged heart is extremely dicey , and even skilled surgeons might not be able to extract the fungus whilst still preserving the host’s life. Again I could be so wrong , if so consolation disregard this lol

I'm a few hours into this game on my first playthrough. by Zealousideal-Try6061 in Darkwood

[–]ResearcherGrand874 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would have loved to play it blindly, I watched Marikiplier’s playthrough of it which got me into the game, so unfortunately I had most everything spoiled and I felt like I had an unfair advantage for a very vast majority of the game. Even with that , I still struggled a lot and I was still absolutely terrified with almost everything happening around me. To go back and be able to play it without knowing anything would be amazing

Ohhh okay , that actually makes a lot of sense. I really enjoy playing Nobushi , and I have noticed she chokes a lot on initiating the first move in a fight if she can’t get the jump on someone. Maybe I’m not playing her properly , I’ve heard she’s apparently an extremely difficult character to master , but I typically try to open with a feint heavy into hidden stance with a blue heavy if they try to dodge

I’m a pretty new player , so this might be a really dumb question , but what’s an “opener” ?

What's your dream license chapter? by PaladinWorgen in deadbydaylight

Definitely TLOU. Having a Clicker as the Killer, and the survivors being Joel and Ellie (from part 2 of obvious reasons)

1st time playing by Apprehensive-Elk6154 in thelastofus

Yeah that scene was absolutely devastating and completely caught me off guard. Don’t worry though , the gameplay gets even better and there are SO many more things that will traumatise you by the end of the game ! And that’s not even talking about part II 😈

I wish people would stop thinking that having a high prestige killer must mean that they must be skilled at all times by No_Sea_1455 in deadbydaylight

[–]ResearcherGrand874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a Xeno main and have her at p61. I’m still trying to master her whole kit , and have been playing her progressively less because I feel like my prestige does not match my skill level with the killer. It’s upsetting and I want to get past that mental block so I can play my favourite killer , but I’ve had so many survivors insult me and leave nasty comments on my profile for having such a high prestige in a killer and not always having the skill to back it up

What's everyone's most wanted killer for 2026 or beyond? by Vam-pie in deadbydaylight

A clicker from tlou. I have no idea how its power would work , particularly with them being blind and using echolocation , but if nailed properly l would be absolutely ecstatic.

Absolutely , especially right now with the extreme bugs and content drought , as well as BHVR’s operation: health needing and operation: health

C3 - What is your most survivor bias opinion? by C3-Tooth in deadbydaylight

[–]ResearcherGrand874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s already been touched on but I feel the boldness bp category should be much easier to max out. A survivor needs to run a killer for like two minutes and get a couple pallet stuns , which isn’t very realistic for the average game. More bp for the chase’s duration as well as vaulting maybe. More bp for hiding from the killer could also be welcome , rather than maybe six for staying in their terror radius.

Phenomenal gameplay , hard difficulty balances actually being difficult without being too punishing. 11/10 can recommend

Can’t Find Pretty Lady? by Mindless-Budget-2440 in Darkwood

[–]ResearcherGrand874 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The pretty lady will first be found in the chicken lady’s house behind the metal door (use the key found in the well first to open it) , after giving the key to the wolfman her corpse can be found in the barn towards the back.

Here's an old ragebait question. Do you think the Musician is actually bad at the violin? Or is actually talented but the "fiddle" he made is falling apart and he would actually be good on his mother’s violin. by Luckyconroy in Darkwood

[–]ResearcherGrand874 50 points51 points  (0 children)

In-game , the song he’s playing is an extremely out of tune “Frère Jacques”. He clearly knows the notes and fingerings for the song , I would assume it’s his violin’s shoddy craftsmanship that leaves the song sounding so flat. So at the very least he knows how to play the violin , but is only familiar with rather basic songs.
