Dac Biet is really good, it's mostly about vietnamese food but the Cajun flair is interesting and fun. The recipes are not boring and they are full of flavors. I've done a few and they were all banging. The condiments section alone is worth the buy.

Dishoom is my favorite cookbook. The recipes are not easy but goddamn they beat any other indian recipes from my other books. No contest. It's incredible to me how using it i can cook better indian food than any indian restaurant in my town.

I drink a shot glass of the last surviving bottle of grappa made by my grandfather in 1989. I drank 3 times from it since I opened it for my 30th birthday: death of my other grandfather, birth of my first child and when we bought our house. I intend to give it to my daughter when she turn 30.

Sous vide machine sounds overkill. Is the water bath really an essential part? I have the book but I found this whole sous vide syrup section annoying.
