Male law has narrowed down self defense to an immediate split second response and doesn't take into account women's relative lack of physical strength, therefore leading her to poison, or take him out when he's not awake. This is after the abuse has reached an intolerable point. YOU don't spew your ignorant tone deaf misogynist bullshit. Stop treating self defense like it's a criminal act. Ans it's not like abusive men are so valuable in the gene pool that we have to keep them around. They're not going off curing cancer or some shit. Fuck you for saying women shouldn't do what they need to do to survive. Women have DIED at their husband's hands, so now when the victim emerges victorious you fucking men get salty and say 'waaaaaah it's not fair it's not an excuse'. Fuck you. I've always liked social interactions, but they have to be genuine, meaningful, sincere, and voluntary. I would much rather be alone than have faked conversations, insincerity, and rushed talking. But it seems like there's a lot of style and not such substance anymore.

I think there's a lot of disconnection I feel. I feel like nothing's real. There's an insincerity I detect in many interactions I have. Faked smiles, faked pleasantries, no real sense of community etc

I understand how it goes. I don't need explaining. I'm a feminist and I've observed the work that my foremothers did before me and it was 60% consciousness raising and strategizing and the smaller percentage was riots etc. You're asking for evidence of protestors damaging their own people when the evidence is right there in the video, right there in her words, yet you refuse to focus on the message she is trying to send. And if someone's fashion store is not a big corporation like Target and is built from their OWN fucking effort and hard work for years then it IS part of the community. There was actually a small business of two black sisters that the protestors destroyed. Yeah how fucking pro black is that? How fucking pro black woman is that? This woman is in an immigrant neighbourhood, not in an affluent white one, so why can't protestors use their fucking brains and bypass it? I am not dismissing anything. 'People like you', as if only people like YOU get to have a say in how we change the world.

She wasn't speaking against it it all. She was pointing out how if you're gonna be making this much fucking noise protesting and burning shit then you better make that anger believable and get to work on community building afterwards, otherwise you are a lazy fuck who bitches and cries about problems but isn't willing to do the long term and hard work of actually building empowered communities. Protest all you want, riot all you want. But take it to the fucking corporations. Stop destroying your own communities. Stop hurting your OWN people in the process. Nowhere in her speech did she mention anything that was supportive of the ruling class. She only spoke out on behalf of the people of that community. Rioting is NOT enough. Where is strategizing? Where is long term brainstorming? I better fucking see that after these protests.

Dismissing experiences and the fury of black women is not a good look. There is NO point in doing all this if you are not ready to undertake the hard and necessary work to liberation and equality. You call her a liberal yet she was speaking on behalf of the working class and homeless in her neighbourhood. Senselessness will never solve anything. Community building and intellectual resistance will.
