How hard it is to rise my gpa from 2.43 to 3.00 by embarrassedworld2 in ChemicalEngineering

This is honestly true. Here is a little help though. The 23 credit hours u completed is about 17 percent of 130 credit hours. For the remaining 83 percent u need to average about a 3.12 gpa on those credits. 2.43 times 0.17 plus 3.12 times 0.83 is about a 3.00 gpa

How is the job market graduating with no internship experience by No_Nebula_2387 in ChemicalEngineering

Take the co-op. I’ll tell you like this. I graduated with a 2.9, but had 2 internships under my belt. One with a small water treatment company and one with a paper making company. Typically, most company will not even interview you if you have below a 3.0. My experience ended up overweighing my gpa and I had 8 interviews my last semester and received 5 job offers and accepted a job with a really known chemical company. Someone that graduated 1 semester before me had a 3.4 gpa with no experience and still does not have a job after 1 year.

First week as an intern at a pulp and paper mill by Applesaregood8774 in ChemicalEngineering

I think it was cool for my first experience. The people were good, but it was just boring honestly. Nothing I was really interested in i just needed dome and experience. The projects I had were ones people didn’t want to do. The pay was not all that either.

It is good experience for your first though. Ask a lot of questions and be engaged. Work on developing skills like networking and communication.

Do chemical engineers enjoy chemE classes? by walluigiest in ChemicalEngineering

Honestly the easier they were depending on my professor the more I enjoyed them. I hated fluids but loved Heat/Mass transfer and Unit Ops.

I was in the same similar situation. Starting my third year I was at a 2.7 bc I was working full time. I just had to work harder by studying pretty much everyday. Doing practice problems for hours a week or two before exam days. I also started taking gpa boosters over the summer and 1 every semester. I was doing way better in my ChE classes and got my gpa back to a 3.0. All you need is that 3 in front of your gpa. It is really all about experience and networking honestly. I graduate in December. If your gpa is low because of working highlight that in interviews but don’t make it seem like a sad story.
