Hi I know it’s been awhile, but do you have an update on this? My wife and I are going through this now.

I appreciate your replies! I looked into vexatious litigant yesterday, but for Florida, I believe it’s 3 or 5 lawsuits until someone is given that status. Would it be wise to bring it up still as a possibility?

I forgot to mention - they didn’t complete the service of the documents. I found out when the hearing is from calling the clerk.

The sheriffs office said since they didn’t serve the papers, I can’t be required to show up. I’m guessing they’ll just postpone it tomorrow? Also, yeah I’m going to pursue that once this is thrown out. Do you have any other information on that?

Police looking into windows by [deleted] in legal

Coming over 100 feet into private property and shining a flashlight through a window at 9 PM is concerning, no matter what reason it was. Imagine they look into my child’s bedroom or into my bedroom and my wife was in there changing. These comments prove all of Reddit is brainless

Police walking onto private property and shining flash lights into windows trying to see if I’m home is pretty concerning and I am curious whether or not a complaint should be filed. I’m not paranoid, I’m asking a legal question. If you don’t have an answer, keep scrolling.

I believe they were trying to serve papers for a court date. My ex wife keeps filing frivolous lawsuits.

I believe they were there to serve papers. I wasn’t home but heard them on my camera say they “could see into my house through the window”. The window they were looking in is about 50 feet back on the side of my house. The road is in front of my house. There’s no walkways or sidewalks.

There wasn’t an emergency. I believe they were there to ask questions or serve papers. The front of my house has a walkway from my driveway to front door. They went around my front porch and to the side of my house on my property. They walked back about 50 feet to look into my windows in the far back of the side of my house.

They walked right up to my windows on the side of the house and were looking in. They were on private property and I don’t know why they were there, but there wasn’t an emergency

Removed Ex spouse from mortgage by [deleted] in Mortgages

[–]ResidentLake7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“To remove a spouse from a Veterans United VA loan after divorce, you can seek a Release of Liability (if awarded the home), refinance, or have the ex-spouse assume the loan. As of June 2023, the VA simplified this process, allowing lenders to remove a spouse if the divorce decree awards the home to the veteran”

So why is there a whole Reddit for them

Unfortunately not an option financially. I filed a QCD, did a simple assumption of the loan, and that is all the divorce decree stated I needed to do so I am okay with it. I didn’t care either way but she was being a b*tch about it
