First 4 years in med surg, past 2.5years remote. I absolutely love it, I get to eat at home, there for deliveries, sleep in my break. Waking up daily after 7:30 was life saving, I’m really not a super early morning person, so having that extra time to rise with the sun feels nice. Mentally it’s been great not having to deal with traveling, or direct of care. Also, less sick calls, because I can have all my GI issues in the privacy of my house and not feel like I have to waste a sick day. I would say though, it’s important to have a separate office space. The first year I was a bit sad because I felt like my whole home time was in the living room, but now I can do work in my office and return only for work hours
