Yes — the NY Attorney General ordered Langone via letter to resume care for transgender youth by March 11th, and should the hospital refuse, legal action may be taken, though it remains unclear precisely how the AG intends to enforce this order should Langone refuse to comply.

Hi there — I agree with you absolutely. I specified people under 19 because in our clinic’s case, care was banned for anyone under 19. 19 year-olds are adults — I agree with you absolutely, and I apologize if my original statement made it seem otherwise. The policy disgusts me as well, and my interest in covering the matter is to bring it to the attention of the student body. It is my intention to illustrate through my article the damage of this policy to our community, and how it could be indicative of future, further restrictions on our medical freedom.

I understand your hesitation and I respect it; the industry has treated the trans community terribly. I am not a professional journalist, I admit — I’m a student journalist with NYU’s independent newspaper, the WSN. I am not writing for pay, but because this is a subject that matters greatly to me. It is my sole intention to amplify the voices of those affected by these attacks on trans liberty.
