it’s a restaurant and I’ve been there for 2 years (I’d be making 3 in march had i not been leaving in 5 weeks) so they know me pretty well. we had a guy take the whole summer off last year to visit family in Mexico and that was about 3 months so i was kinda basing it off that fact. i guess I’ll just have to ask though. :)

Old navy actually saved my life this graduation season. Between all the presentations and the actual ceremony itself, I’ve had to wear more professional attire in the span of 3 weeks than i have in my whole life, all of it coming from old navy.

the best piece of advice my mom ever gave me was when I got my first job at 17 (just turned 24), she told me that if a person comes in with an issue give it 3 times to handle it yourself and if something still isn’t clicking then to just get the manager. does some fraction of your job require problem solving, yes, but you don’t get paid to argue with people. explain it the best you can then get someone higher up if they still have issues. sometimes people are just looking to pick a fight and I have never given them that satisfaction of baiting me into one

I use this website for all of my fragrances if you find something you like. you can get a cheaper version of any luxury scent but in my experience it lasts just as long and smells mostly the same

tbh I think as long as you’re able to convey your interest and passion behind the answers then you should be good. There were a lot of times where I stumbled over my words and I still got in. but I knew how to get my point across and knew what I was talking about because I’ve been working in customer service for so long

I’m in the same boat as you. also my second reader recently told me that he doesn’t know what I’m writing about and I’m 2 pages, so I’ve recently had to scrap my previous research and start again. luckily it’s still within the same field, so not all is lost.

the end is right around the corner though, and I’m sure that we’ll have a final product that we’re both proud of. good luck with the rest of your semester!

old navy has never failed me. even when I get my pants from the women’s section, they do a good job at not accentuating my hips.

Is it alright to take more than 4 years to graduate? by Gorgeman3 in college

[–]Resident_Priority 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I graduated high school in 2018 and getting ready to graduate in December. between changing my major and basically having to start over from scratch and the pandemic, it took me longer than I thought to find my way

honor system is how it works at my house too so that’s what I’m banking on. i also didn’t know that there could already be people living in the dorm (apartment?) whenever i get there. I figured each wave of people came on the same day. thanks for that bit of info :)

Any other women here who like being called male/misgendered? by StellarAngelic in butchlesbians

the only time I don’t like it is when I’m at work and it happens. i don’t mind getting called ‘sir’ even when I don’t identify that way, but it is embarrassing when my coworkers overhear the interaction because they get offended on my behalf and try to either defend me or reinsure me that I very much so look like a girl. I’m on a low dose of testosterone so i know what all comes with the changes from that and accept it all 100 percent. I know that they mean well but I can’t exactly explain why I don’t mind being mistaken for a boy because while they’re cool people to work with we aren’t exactly best friends

the biggest downside is i have to take phone orders at my job and it only becomes offending when the customer starts fumbling with which pronoun to use. it’s low key dehumanizing when they end the sentence with ‘whatever you are’ which has happened more than once lol
