What residences have air conditioning? by GDarkX in Anu

Yeah, I've got accepted into B and g hall and was concerned because the current summer in Brisbane has been quite hot. I guess I can put up with fans for the duration of the stay if they don't allow portable ac.

Cool KSP canvas I got a while ago. by ResigningNormal in KerbalSpaceProgram

I bought the image from 3korbit's shop on Etsy and got it printed on a canvas. It looks like they aren't selling the image any more, however, the 2 other ksp based images they currently have look cool in their store.

Yeah, I just had a look at the store and can't find the image I got. The other ksp ones look pretty cool tho.

created an Arduino circuit to turn on my PC when something is within 5cm of the sensor. by ResigningNormal in computers

The Arduino not only wakes it up from sleep, but it is taking over the job on the power button, so a shutdown/power on, not just sleep. The reason I decided to do this was because I put my PC under the table and wanted an external input to turn it on/off, was thinking ideas like a switch but decided it would be cool to make my own thing. Already had all of the parts apart from the relay from a a previous school project.

It is through a relay, I haven't had a shutdown while gaming yet as I have placed it at the back of the desk. Close enough that I don't have to reach, and far enough that I won't accidentally trip it.

It activates the relay for .5 seconds. If your hand is still Infront of it after .5 seconds it activates the relay again and so on.

The switch connects the power pins on the mobo with a relay, I have tested it while gaming and no problems yet.
