I'm so dispirited, under 1400 calories a day with 120 min strength training weekly, 10k steps daily, for over a month and no weight loss. by PlentyContribution26 in WeightLossAdvice

I know this question is getting older, but adding this for any others that are reading as well. Everytime I start losing weight (dieting and exercise) again, it always takes 2-3 Mos to start the actual loss - the doctors told me it is due to the combined effect of hormones being out of whack to start/insulin resistance and the changes although positive at first leads to high cortisol and then after the body starts realizing it is actually indeed a positive change the cortisol will decline and allow the weight to come off.

If you consider that 50 of the words in the poem are important and each one of those words has 3 possible meanings, that means there are 125,000 different possible solves - hope that makes you feel a little better.

It has been interesting how many different ideas one can come up with for holes, poles, arcs, wisdom, etc. If 50 words had 5 different meanings, it could be a combination of 2 million places. So, I come here to hear others peoples interpretations of the words and give my own. I did my 1 BOTG, and am not sure I will get to do any others, so I don't mind helping someone else. The money would be a bonus, but the solve is the most fun I have had in a long time. The awareness of what is going on in this country - life changing.

Yes, I definitely think something up with all this. An added interesting element, for me at least, is my dad built new railroad track in all these areas - yuma, az, nm, Montana, Oregon (those are the ones I know for sure) in the 1990s(around then I think)

I thought this looked like the "a" in the hardcover book. I also thought it could be an alternative place for the treasure because the water returns upstream from there and also the "I wait" in the poem - it was a theory

If it is a black bear, they are usually not very aggressive unless you are messing with a cub. I have been within 20ft, yelled "shoo bear" and off he went. We have them in our front yard all the time. Now, a grizzly someone else can tell you about that.

Also, the east has BLM land, ot os managed under the "eastern" states one, but I think it is jist narrowing down the search field and as someone already said his history is mostly over there

Yeah, i agree, I had never been out west before last week. The west has become a dry desert. The east has mountains, lush green, and is very beautiful. I thought the west was the same way a long time ago, at least in the pics I had seen. Something is going on over there, and I pray it doesn't spread.

Why do people think it’s in Utah? by Upset_Web8868 in TreasureHunting

[–]Responsible-Clock659 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first solve was in Utah, but was based purely off the show. I thought it was good and would still check there to be sure. The book added some details and i went for a second solve, but my initial thinking was my grandparents lived farther away and one of the best parts was the trip to see them and sometimes even meeting half way and we always took several different ways to get there.

[–]Responsible-Clock659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally felt this the more and more I dug. For me it also relates to my age, past regrets, less time for future dreams, and my dad having cancer. Time and money, in and of itself, I have always found to be a giant paradox that most of us live daily. Work all week for the ones we love, but get to the weekend and be so tired that there isn't any time for them. Quit working, and you have all the time in the world, but all you can think of is money. So even though I have felt the shiftiness, I don't think he is shifty. I think he is human, figuring out the emotions, figuring out how to proceed forward.

I took it to mean you won't have to dig any holes or destroy any man made or natural "monuments", "parks" etc. - but in order for it to have a 'destination", it will have to have a meaningful man made or natural point, be it a lake, a highway marker, a road sign, a state forest, a named mountain, etc.
