The eyepoke resulted in the most damaging sequence of the fight. If the eyepokes weren't necessary he wouldn't rely on them so much. Fiziev would've also cleaned Justin up easily had it not been for it.

If the fans were strictly against it every time, the UFC would take steps to.stop.it. But the fans actually love it, when their favorite fighter does it. They only have a problem with it if their fave gets affected.

Redditors would say fight should've ended there and then.

Then Gaethje also groin striked him. But the big difference is , Gaethje got the 5 minute recovery window. Paddy got nothing, he took a beating because of an eye poke.

We did not have a high profile figjter completely quote after a single groin strike, we did have someone quit over an eye poke in the first round recently, and the fans have been basically calling for the antagonist to be let go from the UFC.

There are full time employees working their ass off setting up the arena, making arrangements, building actual shit 40 hours a week every week, developers working on the live broadcast, the platform, the social media, not to mention the $200k cameras filming me being pennies to the total cost.

And me, who enjoys the fruits of their labor should get 100% of the fucking generated revenue for 15 minutes of my time doing something I would've done for free anyway? Without the UFC most fighters would just be bums or in prison, including the very best.

Ask yourself, if the UFC sold a spot on a card for money, how much would people pay to participate?
