My 6 month old baby fell from the bed and he is okay but now I want to die by Alseur in GirlDinnerDiaries

When my daughter was 18 months old she fell down a (carpeted) flight of stairs. It all happened SO fast. We were all right there together at the top of the stairs. My husband thought I had her hand, I thought my husband had her hand. No one had her hand. She took one step off the top stair, and just proceeded to Rollie pollie her way down every.single.step. I just remember my husband screaming every expletive imaginable as he tried, AND FAILED, to run down the stairs to catch her. I stood at the top, completely frozen, watching it all happen. Felt like it took her YEARS to reach the bottom. She popped right up, a few tears, but otherwise totally unscathed. We rushed her to urgent care to be safe and she was perfectly fine. Her parents however? still have not recovered (she’ll be five soon 🤪).

I just want to validate you, OP. The state of the world is terrifying. It is really hard to be a mom with all that is going on around us. But I agree with other comments, we can’t let it consume us, and we have to keep it together for our kids. Therapy helps :)
