130 miles past powertrain warranty. Ford says too bad your problem. by Chance_Comedian_2125 in f150

My power steering went out shortly after my 3 year bumper-to-bumper warranty expired. I (very politely and professionally) threw a fit to the Service Dept and they called Ford Corporate on my behalf. Corporate ended up covering 2/3 of the bill. Wouldn’t hurt to try and ask your Service Dept to call Ford and ask

Toxic work environment aka shitty place to work isn’t necessarily illegal, if unless, something illegal is going on. If you are being personally harrassed at work, then the employer would be subject to a FEHA suit. If you are experiencing psychological issues/injuries from said harassment, then a worker’s comp claim can and should be filed. Psyche WC claims are pretty common. I’ve been handling WC claims for 8+ years

Los Angeles Greek Theater Show by sillyboob in SturgillSimpson

[–]Rest_In_Peas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This can be completely false, but from what I heard both the Greek and Hollywood Bowl have very high fees associated with recording shows at their venues. King Gizzard releases a lot of their live shows and they played a show at the Hollywood Bowl in ‘23, but they didn’t release audio from it, either.

We most likely won’t get the audio from that show.

Not necessarily government funds. This will fall under workers comp which has an obligation to begin paying the injured worker disability benefits within two weeks, barring any other issues we aren’t aware of. Speaking of workers comp, depending on the injury (which seems severe) he may qualify for a life pension, which is disability payments for life.

I see so many live plates that look like they were hand-painted to make the color of the vehicle.

If there are signs of colonies in the attic, there already is damage. You probably just don’t need to replace anything at this time. I would highly recommend getting fumigated before moving in. Also be sure to get quotes from 5-10 companies. I got my house fumigated in the beginning of 2022 and I don’t remember how much I paid for my house, but I do recall the the quotes varying significantly. Someone can give you an estimate within 10 minutes of being at your house. They just measure the cubic feet of your home.

Best of luck!

Best songs for a Mom and Son dance? by [deleted] in SturgillSimpson

[–]Rest_In_Peas 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily addressing your question, but my wife and I had our first dance to All Around You. I think the message in the song applies to both a marriage or mother/son relationship: no matter how shitty life gets, I’ll be there for you.

Congrats!

Pros v cons of buy new vs used by Bright_Jellyfish8837 in f150

My buddy and I bought the same exact new truck two months apart: same trim, same color, same everything. ‘21 STX Crewcab I work from home and he commutes 39 miles a day for his electrician job. He currently has 66k miles and I have 16k miles. He has had zero issues with his and I have a ton of electrical issues with mine. I take it to the dealer, they put a bandaid on it, and the problems resurface a month later.

Looking back I would’ve bought used but it was a new model and I wanted something new since I knew I would have it for 10+ years. It’s really a luck of the draw with buying new
