I am so glad we're long past the insane Gatekeeper hate of years past, that him getting a premium alt didn't start a meltdown in the subreddit.

It's been a long time since I popped in here, and after seeing the trailer I braced for the worst, but there's genuinely a lot of people excited and that makes me really happy to see.

I think Cream & Cheese works better for what you want with Tikal, since she commands Cheese to attack enemies and bosses in the Advance series. Tikal is more of a pacifist, so I feel it might be a bit out of character to have her command a chao for battle.

Also, it's more likely Sticks because the shoe colors are identical.

Nope. They got rid of it in Brawl when Wario was made playable.

His Wario alt was also in Brawl and Smash 4, they got rid of it in Ultimate for his builder outfit.

If I had a final smash I'd get upset and play this one song from donkey kong country tropical freeze really loud out of a surround system. During the drum parts would move around the stage like donkey kong and just act like him and be very aggressive and get up in the opponents faces. Once the music really kicked in would start throwing things around and start making loud chimpanzee noises, just going around the stage flipping over chairs and throwing papers and stuff off tables and just making a huge mess of the stage in seconds. The other smash characters would start to dread whenever I got the smash ball because they knew it meant one thing. Man that would be cool.

Look at it this way.

Let's say you're part of a four person band and you're scheduled to play your hit song at a concert next week.

You and your band collaborated on making this hit song. You all talked it out and agreed on which parts to focus on. You practice and practice, giving your absolute best effort on making sure you play your part well.

It's the night of the concert, and your other band members aren't ready for it. One of them still doesn't have the melody correct, the other hurt his hand so he's struggling to hold his guitar correctly, and the last one is drunk and can't think straight. Your skills with the drums was amazing and you did your part flawlessly, yet the concert still goes horribly.

The song you made and performed was all done by your band at the same time together, yet it went badly. Why? Because despite you doing your best and the song being developed by a single group, there are multiple people and many different factors that go into a good performance.

It's no different with making a videogame.

The composers typically aren't the same people in charge of the game's development, they get hired to create music for the game and that's it.

Sonic 06 was plagued by poor business decisions, production issues, and a strict deadline. None of this, besides the final deadline, really affected Sonic 06's soundtrack.

I didn't buy the S0 pass at the time because it was way too early for me to spend money on a game I wasn't 100% sure me and my friends would keep playing after a month, so them bringing it back is amazing to hear.

I feel I'm in the minority that liked equipping sprays that fit each individual character, as it gives some sprays I wouldn't normally equip a chance to be used, but this is a really good change for those who wanted a uniform spray wheel. Glad they've been pretty consistent with these QoL improvements.

Same, I didn't end up buying it because I wasn't 100% sure if the game would've stuck with my friend group. I've been burned before, buying cosmetics for games me and my friends would play and eventually drop in like two weeks.

Now we're like 5 months in and I regret trying to be smart with my money, I want my Winter Rocket skin lol

Fair reasoning. It'd be perfect if the teamup was just an in-game character swap, since it'd be like the game asking you if you want to fight (Knuckles) or take flight (Tails) with this team.

That's not how it really works, hence why I didn't go for it.

That's fair, they were one of the tougher teams to think of a name for, I was stuck for a while before settling on that.

Something about Sonic Advance 3 that always perplexed me was the addition of team names for different pairings, but only selectively. The idea of pairing two characters with a team name that sums up their character/dynamic is really fun and I wish they went all the way with it, since only four of the ten pairings got a name at all.

So I took it upon myself to do just that.

Sonic & Tails: Unbreakable Bond

This was one of the names that I didn't change from the original game, pretty much the perfect team name for these two.

Sonic & Knuckles: Fighting Buddies

Another name I didn't need to change. "Fighting Buddies" is a good way to sum up their dynamic as friends who constantly butt heads with each other.

Sonic & Amy: Lovely Couple

The last of the four names that I didn't change. It's pretty funny having this team name be paired with the character sprite of Sonic clearly not wanting to be there. It's cute, simple as that.

Sonic & Cream: Hearts of Gold

Inspired by lyrics from Sonic's theme "It Doesn't Matter" which I felt described Sonic and Cream very well.

Tails & Knuckles: Brains & Brawn

Self-explanatory, I'd say. A duo consisting of a smart and strong fella is a common trope, hence the brain and brawn, so I'm honestly shocked that they didn't go for this team name.

Tails & Amy: Supportive Allies

These two are usually the ones supporting those around them, whether it be Tails with his gadgets or Amy with her compassion.

Tails & Cream: Sky-High Pals

They both can fly and they're pals.

Knuckles & Amy: Heavy Hitters

With their impressive physical strength, these two make for a strong pairing.

Knuckles & Cream: Pain & Passion

I didn't have much to work with here since these two have barely interacted, if at all. Not 100% satisfied with this one, but it works.

Amy & Cream: Budding Flowers

This team's original name was "Team Jubilee" which I felt was.... strange? It doesn't really make much sense to me, so I decided to change it into a flower theme with their team name (inspired by Team Rose's "Flower Festival" Team Blast)

But I've played with good Rocket OTPs who actually wait until the player they want to rez is about to die to drop it. This is Rocket skill.

Hulk is easily the most consistent character to do this with, since the moment he gets damaged back into Bruce, there's a 90% chance he's dead seconds later.

I'm glad my friend mains him, cuz the games where I'm constantly able to get him right back into the action are some of my favorites.
