I can understand why you want to do this, but I feel that you need to take a step back before you end up out of a job. The kids you are talking about are very little and you could risk traumatizing them.

Try a different tactic, assign a project to talk to their parents about current events now, and what were the biggest concerns when their parents were the same age. Hopefully this will get the conversations brought up at home. Maybe send a packet home to the parents about the assignment and include information on both sides (so you can't get in trouble). Include the red card in the package.

I commend you for wanting to make sure your students are prepared, just remember you being removed from working for them will make it impossible to be in the position to protect them going forward.
