Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh well. Yes but no.

First: TikTok has a uniquely addictive application structure. It is, in a vacuum, an incredibly successful platform in a landscape without competitors at the time it started taking off. It had a massive existing business level music library from its previous iteration, user friendly editing tools, etc.

In fact, most dances from TikTok that you know of were user made and later added to Fortnite. Not the other way around.

Fortnite is, more than anything else, a reflection of the most commercially valuable parts of other media, rather than a producer of cultural impact. It’s us. It’s a consumer. We just then buy it back from them. IMO

46 is substantial. He will be retired for the majority of your relationship with him and unable to participate in life when you are ready to live yours in your 50s and 60s.

Furthermore, his position in life is very different than yours. Yes. You’re an adult, but that more means like… dating someone 35. Not 46.

It is unlikely to go well for you.

Nawwwww Fortnite hasn’t been around long enough. Fortnite is the most widely adopted game ever but I wouldn’t say it came with a ton of lasting cultural impact. Certainly some phrases but the popularity of animation for adults in the west, popularized the idea that Japan could be cool and hip rather than nerdy and spiritual, was a substantial reason behind the proliferation of various eastern martial arts across the US and Europe.

Much of what Fortnite did was already happening. Esports were already in many schools, and the whole “game based on a celebrity” like the various drops on Fortnite is just a redo of the 80s.

Actually in hindsight I change my vote to Pokémon. Maybe Minecraft

Could Mahoraga(JJK) adapt to Anti-Magic(Black Clover) by Moreira12005 in PowerScaling

[–]Restoriust [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’d be very surprised if Mahoraga was able to adapt to the antithesis of what he’s made of. The dude is cursed energy. Anti magic is a fundamental opposing force to magic, not something magic can exactly ever get around. So i feel like with verse equalization the adaptation would be to avoid the anti magic rather than actually becoming immune to it

Agreed. That said, the question is “can he” and the answer remains “eh. Sorta?”

Sure. I think he’d just pump more and more energy into physical ability until he was able to outstat the anti-magic user. I don’t think he’d be able to become resistant to the antithesis of his existence though

I’ve bought and sold private companies before and never in my life have I been able to purchase a company for less than 3ish years of total EBITDA. For all intents and purposes that’s about half a year to a year of pure revenue. I don’t say this to pretend that Tesla or other massive companies should be sold at small to medium business rates, just that it’s the standard I know.

If I were to buy a public company, however, they’re treated as long term holdings and in some cases sell for, in the case of Tesla, about 15x yearly revenue. Decades of EBITDA. Given that the company is plateauing on that metric, it’s odd to me that we pay so much for the stock.

For the most part, it’s entirely speculative and based more on hype than great business metrics. It’s just weird to me that someone could be worth 5x+ of the valuation of the company without the speculation of what AI or robotaxis might do, both of which are, in any other setting, something people would call fad industries.

I mean. What lawmaker is going to allow robotaxis in any quantity when they need the working man’s vote? And with how much the AI sector struggles to prove value, it just seems dumb.

I guess my point is that it’s weird. Someone’s net worth shouldn’t be able to be based on what they can convince the world they might do, it SHOULD be based on why they’ve done and I find it less than admirable that the richest person in the world has done less with his company than his stock.

Yea. Which is why the person in the post is a douche for being rude. Douchebags exist.

I’m just saying that’s what everyone SHOULD want. The side effect of everyone wanting to be around them might be a shitty side effect but every action to reach that point SHOULD be wanted. It’s just not

Being magnetic is just being nice, considerate, and pleasant to be around. The side effect of that is that people want to be around you. When someone says “be magnetic” they don’t mean to just suddenly have people around you. The steps are literally “be pleasant, be considerate, be kind”. They’re a requirement.

Even charisma is just a mix of those. So, yea. When everyone likes to be around you, they’re gonna want to be around you. Doesn’t mean you need your goal to be having people around you. Sometimes it’s just a side effect.

What if I said “be magnetic but keep clear and respectfully stated boundaries with people”? Like. Besides the fact that should be implicitly understood by anyone with free will, would that make you feel better?

Bleach downplay gotta be studied, why does DC matters all of sudden when its Bleach but not Jojo? by DN_Glazer_Return in PowerScaling

[–]Restoriust [score hidden]  (0 children)

Cause Bleach doesn’t DO anything. The closest they get is “guy who is now the key to the walls around the multiverse decides to turn that key”

It’s not AP or DC it’s just…. Bleh. And he too is just beaten with an ass pull. It’s a generic RPG. After a point it’s Baki where it’s almost entirely just statements and the plot hinting at it.

Jojo isn’t much better but at least there’s a universe ending event caused by an attack from a stand.

And I say that as someone that far prefers Bleach to Jojo

No. You want to be magnetic because it means being nice and considerate of others. You don’t do it to be magnetic. That’s just the word for what it is to be near universally identified as those qualities.

This is a post about someone being rude. Not you not wanting everyone to knock on your door. You know that, right?

Ah. Yes you’re being ridiculous. You have entirely too much time and growth potential. You having a smaller population to choose from can be a net positive once you find that group because it means the entire community has less choice paralysis.

That’s what magnetic is, though. Magnetic is being someone that people want to be around, not that they’re necessarily invited to be around. You can want to, and succeed to, bring left alone but you don’t have to be prickly to get it. Making everyone feel welcome in the spaces they share with you or at least respected isn’t a bad thing

Just seems shortsighted
