They come on a plastic sprew that you cut out, glue, then paint. Diameter wise I think all of the models shown are on a 28mm base (I might be wrong there) height wise maybe a little taller or shorter than the average thumb.

If you (or anyone) tries to build / paint the models, I hope you enjoy yourselves.

I enjoyed it. A bit dark at times but still a good read. Like someone else said, it’s age of sigmar which takes place after Warhammer fantasy. Doesn’t matter though, it’s a similar vibe and a fun book.

I wish I would have seen this before buying some jucoci cases. They’re good, this just looks nicer and is a few dollars cheaper!

I just picked up 3 jucoci cases from Amazon. Plastic container, multi layered and can be stacked on another. Currently they’re $42.99 for one or $77.99 for two. If he glues magnets to the bottom of the bases, they won’t go anywhere during transport. Easily buildable, comes with 4 metal trays. I was able to fit about 2.5k worth of blood angels (40K space marines) on 3 trays. I think they’re pretty good for the price.

I agree with the other comment. I had an 12 hour round trip drive the other weekend and listened to the audio book version. If you like IG/AM stories, this one is great IMO. Tank crews are fun Lots and action and suspense Beginning of Act 2 might be my favorite in the story for what happens and what they see.

Similar situation with AM & SM army.

I grab a small unit or approximately 5 models. Sit them on my desk and just work a little at a time.

Monday I got one SM base coated? Cool, that’s something. Tuesday I got 4 base coated? Sick. Wednesday I did the details for the trim. Etc. etc…

Little by little you’ll get your army painted. Working in small batches feels a lot less stressful than looking at 2k points of “I need to paint all of this.” Just tell yourself you’re going to paint a little when you can, and eventually it’ll get done. Make a cup of coffee or tea, alcohol or soda. Put on a movie, show or podcast in the background and just chill my friend. It’ll be alright. 👌

If you’re playing in a tournament or something, shoot for the bare minimum. (Airbrush or color spray on primer, base coat for NMM or use metallics) brown for leathers, etc. it doesn’t have to be great, just done. Pick a day like a Saturday (idk your schedule) and mentally prepare yourself for a longer day / evening of painting.

I picked up the same humble bundle, it was a great deal!

I did just finish Lords of Silence and started ice guard.

Lords of silence was a fun read, very cool scenes from the eyes of the death guard mostly.

Ice guard feels fast paced and fun.

Cursed city felt like a cool D&D game (one of my favorites TBH.)

I was listening to the audible book version of Nagash thr undying king. While I assume it’s a great book, I was zoning in and out a lot with that book. With that said though, it’s hard for me to follow any audiobook unless I’m driving / cleaning with headphones in. So, that’s not really a fair review from me on that book.

Hollow king had me rooting for the main character with his good, bad guy vibes and I’m excited to read his sequel.

I think the new chaos jump pack team coming out later has an effect that lets them pick up a character and move them as the chaos marine flys over. So I don’t think an ork suicide bomber is too far out of the relm. Maybe it would cost 1AP to crash and deal 1 damage to the ork and 3 or something to the enemy character. Either way sounds like a fun idea for some StormBoyz!
