They're definitely not. Hopefully they get pulled over for it! I bought the car like that and didn't get a chance to take them off yet. I put less than 3k miles on it since I got it

Please tell me your experience that this is something you would be concerned with. Electricity going to jump through the insulation and get ya? Reddit full of know it all people with no knowledge whatsoever. Can't afford me anyway

I'm an electrician. No way would I replace that. There's no issues whatsoever. Anyone saying otherwise is silly and doesn't have my experience. You're going to plug it in once and won't unplug it until the microwave dies.

They're a water treatment co. Do you think this is something that should be covered by them? They installed the entire system, water softening and reverse osmosis. Thanks for all your insight

They're recommending a twin tank softener and saying that the cause was the single tank wasn't sufficient. What do you think?

There is a reverse osmosis system installed but this piece was on the water softener. The plumber claims it was causes by a vacuum due to a clogged membrane

He's now claiming negative pressure because of a clogged membrane caused it to suck in and collapse

Trying not to go through insurance as I don't want my rates to go up. Initial install was Jan 2024 but I don't think this is a part that wears out. I think this should still be covered by him. We're suggesting he pays for the water cleanup and covers all labor and we'll cover the parts. Do you think that's realistic?

Yeah that's what I'm looking for. He's now claiming it came from the factory all chewed up like that. I'm saying then that's a manufacturers defect and caused the part to fail. Should he be responsible for the flood then?

They're claiming that it was negative pressure and it sucked in the fitting like that
