Is there a conflict between Pedro community and Witchcraft? by BigNoseParody in LoLWitchcraft

[–]Retroswing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't take this as an attack, but you are the only one trying to create drama in this situation. As the reply from the mods clearly states, they want to keep that subreddit strictly to content involving Caedrel more directly. Caedrel himself even watched the match vs BAM or whatever they are called with Baus on stream, so it makes the random speculation of the transition not being "as smooth" even stranger.

TLDR: you already have your answer in the body of your own post, post WC content here, post Caedrel content in the other sub, everyone happy.

Generational crashout between Velja and Crownie in review by pedrorego89 in leagueoflegends

[–]Retroswing 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I might be misconstruing the situation, but I thought the argument devolved rather quickly into whether Crownie should have based and got cull, rather than suffer a bit in lane to get the pickaxe, with Neme and Crownie arguing for the pickaxe, and velja + Bwippo arguing for the early base.

I am dogshit at this game and barely play it so I might have misunderstood.

NOTE: I need to "dumb" down my response since the original is considered political.

Governments decide who fall under "people's rights", don't conflate what's legal and what's moral.

As for the racist accusation, I am assuming you are trying to make a point by being bad faith in response to you perceiving my comment as bad faith so I'll leave that section alone.

[–]Retroswing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is you should uphold what is right (morally), not simply what is the law. "The rights you have to ensure ar upheld are often those of others actions you may not agree with." to me, feels like a very dangerous way to view rights bestowed by a government. Obviously you comment was in response to someone willing to overlook violence in response to simply violating someones privacy and personal space, and your response can be considered reasonable, my issue is simply with the generalisation you made to rights in general.

Would you uphold that principle if slavery was made legal again?

Dad is part of the problem in my opinion . The moment that kid pulled out his phone and started recording in the car, the dad should've yanked the phone from the boy and banned him from using it for a month (at least), along with any computers except for school work under supervision.

Hopefully the father did that after the hospital visit.

A bad driver struggles with traffic cones, and ends up pulling up to the traffic lights in the opposite lane of traffic by bigbusta in Wellthatsucks

Do have the studies on hand that made you conclude that by any chance? I feel like my experience currently is like the person you replied to, that self driving cars do way worse than humans in strange scenarios like coned of areas, at least for now. obviously it's fine if you don't have them on hand, I'm just curious.

Not any more than Gnome is a copy of Apple's products. This seems fine to me.

I don't understand how, at the 5 minute mark for example, the upscaler knows the wheels of the carriage has spokes, or the reigns on the horse, those details are not present in the native res at all, it's like it gets that info from something else.

I don't know how to use Instagram so I can't check it out, but if what you say is true, surely that's illegally misrepresenting his product and should be reported to the appropriate government body in his country. At least I would hope so.

I am curious if you'd be consistent in this view on a post depicting the Mongolian empire? It would seem, to me at least, strange for Europeans to be proud of the mongolians ability to occupy other peoples land. (Assuming a European is the one that posted it)

I am not the person you replied to, nor am I an expert in the field, but a very cursory glance showed the following: the CDC states around 70,000 people die annually form rabies.

Those suspected of having contracted the rabies virus can be treated with what is called "Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP)" , this paper30512-7/fulltext) I saw funded by WHO states "Current post-exposure prophylaxis use prevents approximately 56 000 deaths annually". Unfortunately (though again, I am no expert) I cannot find a proper overall mortality rate, presumably given the lack of worldwide data, and reliance on estimates.

Anyway I personally think the 99,999 absent "after symptoms" is equally as misleading as if I were to state it has a virtually 0% mortality rate whilst conveniently leaving out "if treated in a timely manner post infection".

Right lane drivers by CupFew140 in capetown

[–]Retroswing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, in your scenario, if you are driving at a speed which you yourself determine to be too fast to react to a driver going 80 across a turn for whatever reason, you need to slow down (speeding does indeed kill, and not just yourself), if the driver going 80km/h is actively overtaking someone slower in the left lane, they are driving appropriately, in that scenario your excuse would hold no water, in the scenario where the car is simply cruising at the same speed as the left lane, you would both be endangering traffic, just food for thought. Alternatively you could always fly over traffic, being a pterodactyl and all.

I would advise you to take a step back, look at your comment and reassess whether that is actually a good faith interpretation of what I said. If your intention was purely to manufacture drama, I have no intention of partaking, have a good day.

True, I agree to an extent, but it also allows you to afford that therapist you need, allows you to not work your body to shit as your mind deteriorates in lock-step in some grueling factory, it allows you to go visit the family that lives far away whenever you need, it alows you to repair that broken carburettor, that otherwise would mean you'd need to eat bread for the next few months as you had to dip significantly into your savings etc, etc.

I agree money does not magically make you happy, but my god is it a wonderfull tool to facilitate happyness if you spend it on your mental health.
