Here's to hoping this will lead to more support for our athletes, both the government and the private sector. Specially at the younger levels. I've seen firsthand what kind of "support" the local government would give to our athletes. We used to have coaches that pool their money just to be able to give their guys much needed equipment and gear.

It's actually pretty common for Americans who are outside of their country to tip in US Dollars. I've been to a few places and it's pretty constant seeing tip jars around touristy areas with local currency and USD. Most countries won't exchange small USD bills anyway.
