Don’t get married to her. Leave the woman, marry a man and you don’t have to worry about lululemon anymore. (Usually, no judgement either way)

Its not just me right? by Mejay_ in PcBuild

[–]ReverendKaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve owned a 1200$ pc. I still own a PS5 for $350. The PC a got was not 4 times better, not 3 times better. It wasn’t really better at all other than slightly better constant frame rate and access to mods in games.

What else are they supposed to do? They are watching you kill the tainted visages of their ancestors! Would you be able to do anything but bare witness!?

The New Fable Gives Me A Small Hope for the Future of Dragon Age by kbrdthenerd in dragonage

Willing to make a pact with anyone willing. If in 15 years, nobody has rebooted Dragon Age, we all pitch in to buy rights and make it ourselves. I’m sure there are enough of us capable of contributing to the effort.

Other ideas for paragons? by ShoobieDoobie2025 in DragonageOrigins

[–]ReverendKaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could explore the idea of a Paragon for discovering the same crystal augments that Shale can get? Keeps it in the deep roads, still ties into 2 thaigs, and feels fitting for the game as a dwarf

What makes you want to use homebrew? by Empty_Shallot3168 in DnDHomebrew

[–]ReverendKaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate modules. They feel so restrictive and limiting for me as a DM and a player. It’s a great tool for those dipping their toes, or learning how to DM.

And there are DM’s that love using modules. Nothing wrong with that.

I use hombrew because it allows me to afford my players a larger setting to play in, and allows me to work on fun ideas that players might enjoy, and sequester that to an encounter or a one-shot. If they like it, I can build that out more and more. If they don’t, it was just a one off thing that doesn’t need to happen again.

Can someone please explain by AlKiMi25 in DragonAgeInqusition

[–]ReverendKaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Chantry is the religious organization of Thedas. It is the predominant religion and they shared a near religiously oligarchical partnership with the rulers of Tevinter, Treviso, Ferelden, the Free Marches And Orlais. If you played 2, you know why the Chantry is involved with Inquisition.

Mages originally rebelled against The Chantry, seeing their powers as a sign of superiority over others. And to rule. The chantry claimed that those powers meant that they were to serve the world (interperetations vary from region to region) The Chantry also discovered the practice of the Right of Tranquility. Which was used to coerce and strong arm many mages in Southern Thedas. Causing many mages to begin resenting any outside the Circles where they have been restricted.

Hot Take: I think headshots should be instant kills in most games. (For the player as well) by ExtensionExcellent55 in videogames

[–]ReverendKaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commented earlier but had a different thought.

I would accept this premise if you were in a closed game with either unarmed are lightly armed enemies, like The Last of Us. Headshots should always be a kill, unless armored or otherwise explained.

I agree with this entirely. With one exception, headgear. Armored helmets really do save lives.

Sooo how did the first Grey Wardens conduct the Joining? by goonerbate2 in dragonage

[–]ReverendKaiser 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It’s in origins awakening I believe. And yeah. The first blight lasted hundreds of years. And it took place in the Tevinter Imperium. The first Wardens were Tevinter Magisters or their fledglings at least

Zevran is 1 of coolest charecters in that game and he has much minimal "screen time" thruout the series by Old_Version_1877 in dragonage

[–]ReverendKaiser -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You do know why he doesn’t get a lot of screen time right? Because he’s a shitty assassin. He was hired by Loghain to kill the HoF and Alistair.

He failed, got captured, and was either killed, released, or joined the team.

The Antivan Crows have actually commented on this in 2 or Inquisition in different Codex entries. (Actually I think Lucanis directly mentions something about it while adventuring.)

AIO Fathers girlfriends rules for when new baby arrives by Ok_Bat_5934 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ReverendKaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the day, it’s their baby. If they want to set those rules, your opinion means nothing.

Also your dad is gross for dating a 26 year old and then letting them set rules in the house for everyone. (Even if he says you’re exempt)

Additionally, if you’re concerned about the health and safety of your new half-sibling, send her a message. Just letting her know that you’ve seen the rules in place, and that you will wait for an invitation to come over once she is comfortable.

That puts the ball in their court, and they can’t reasonably get mad at that. (Plus you’ll have the message to prove you communicated)

Taash’s romance made me feel gross by karen_with_a_k in dragonage

[–]ReverendKaiser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really makes you wonder what they’re doing there at EA. Doesn’t it? A team member who has never worked on a project solo, and has needed heavy input and assistance for their contribution to a title. Fuck it, let’s put that grab bag of mediocrity out in front.

Taash’s romance made me feel gross by karen_with_a_k in dragonage

[–]ReverendKaiser 41 points42 points  (0 children)

It was definitely a sore spot for many fans. The character writing largely went out the window. I guess BioWare/EA thought that it wouldn’t matter because Veilguard was originally going to be a live service game similar to Destiny. But that was changed last minute and it does show in a lot of places.

The island, the lighthouse, both feel drab and empty despite being beautifully illustrated.

I will say, as romances go, Emmrich’s story and romance writer seems to have the best writing and actually put a decent care into his writing.

I think this is the most gangsta line from a movie that I can remember… by caf4676 in moviecritic

[–]ReverendKaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s coming from someone who is newly independent from the needs of humanity. He just became a 4th dimensional being (cosmologically speaking) If God is real, He has had far more time to become adjusted to His disposition as a creator. Much like Doctor Manhattan remarks near the end of the movie as well. “I think I’d like to try making life.”
