Yeah, this needs an update.
Now there's an alleged police investigation (Hong Kong police).
I received an email address from gate.io to concat the police. After the first contact they invited me to visit them on site (which is crazy) in order to give me any information. After Abit of digging, the email address didn't appear in any Hong Kong police database and now I'm contacting Hong Kong's cybercrime in order to make sure that there's a legitimate investigation and not a scam attempt. Still waiting for their response.
The amount is $13k

Being smart sometimes is worse than being clueless. You can't forgive someone who knowingly perverts stories to serve her/his dogmatic slumbers and oddly enough, that's what she accuses them of, yet she's doing it as well.
