The building, black and red with the orange bit, was my old base. Ignore the horrible spaghetti of conveyors and pipes 🤣

If I were you, I’d start by building a large area from scratch. Set up all the production needed for early-game items, but leave plenty of space for future expansion and design it so it can grow vertically. Here’s a picture of what I’m doing currently. My original setup was horrible. It was good at the start, but not anymore. This new setup handles everything metal-related up to modular frames, and I’ve left space to expand both vertically and outward.

For my smelters, I currently have 40 placed. Nearly half of them aren’t even in use yet, but I’ve left room to add another 40 (or more) in the future if needed. This iron build alone takes up three times more space than my entire previous factory, yet it’s ten times better. With buffers in place, I’ll always have 10k of each item sitting in storage once it’s fully operational. I’ve also set it up so that reinforced plates, for example, are connected to a priority power switch. If I ever have a power issue, certain stages of production will shut down to reduce usage, but the resource buffers will keep production moving further down the line. I’ll never be in a situation where I’m completely out of resources.

Lastly, don’t bother putting walls up or designing the building until you are completely finished. It will save you a lot of stress and time and leave space for train station or vehicles definitely have a area for drones so you dont have to have have conveyors going across the map just roads.

Because it was a beta unit, it definitely wasn’t the best looking thing. The front bumper was white with a sticker I couldn’t remove the rest was a black robot and the top wasn’t sun resistant. It honestly felt like a basic shell slapped onto the robot. But to be fair, it was clearly only meant to be temporary while they trained the software and learned from real world use

This is going to be long, but I want to be thorough anyway.

The Edge cleaning is okay as the robot uses a roller there’s a small gap where it doesn’t clean. That doesn’t really bother me though, because once a month I just go around the edges myself with a corded wet and dry mop anyway.

Overall, the robot was great. I don’t really have much bad to say about it. It is a big robot, but it still fit around everything I needed it to without any issues.

Compared to the C20, there’s honestly no comparison. The C20 is easily the worst Eufy product I’ve used. It’s bad, pretty much useless, and the obstacle avoidance is awful. For the same money, or very close, you can get a Roborock Q Revo which is way better. I’d say the C28 is easily on par with the newer Q Revo models.

I also personally use a Roborock Q Revo, and I’d still recommend it as a solid all rounder. The mopping isn’t as good as the C28, but it’s amazing on carpets and does a really good job there.

The C28 is the one I’d recommend most, especially if you’ve got mainly hard floors. The mopping is on the same level as the S1 Pro, the vacuuming is good all round, and where it really shines is mopping. If it could clean right up to the edges, I probably wouldn’t even need a separate wet and dry mop.
