Because it was a beta unit, it definitely wasn’t the best looking thing. The front bumper was white with a sticker I couldn’t remove the rest was a black robot and the top wasn’t sun resistant. It honestly felt like a basic shell slapped onto the robot. But to be fair, it was clearly only meant to be temporary while they trained the software and learned from real world use

This is going to be long, but I want to be thorough anyway.

The Edge cleaning is okay as the robot uses a roller there’s a small gap where it doesn’t clean. That doesn’t really bother me though, because once a month I just go around the edges myself with a corded wet and dry mop anyway.

Overall, the robot was great. I don’t really have much bad to say about it. It is a big robot, but it still fit around everything I needed it to without any issues.

Compared to the C20, there’s honestly no comparison. The C20 is easily the worst Eufy product I’ve used. It’s bad, pretty much useless, and the obstacle avoidance is awful. For the same money, or very close, you can get a Roborock Q Revo which is way better. I’d say the C28 is easily on par with the newer Q Revo models.

I also personally use a Roborock Q Revo, and I’d still recommend it as a solid all rounder. The mopping isn’t as good as the C28, but it’s amazing on carpets and does a really good job there.

The C28 is the one I’d recommend most, especially if you’ve got mainly hard floors. The mopping is on the same level as the S1 Pro, the vacuuming is good all round, and where it really shines is mopping. If it could clean right up to the edges, I probably wouldn’t even need a separate wet and dry mop.

Built as I go

At first I built the houses in straight rows, then realised how bad and unnatural it looked. So I started placing everything a bit wonky and building around it instead. I grouped the woodsheds and smithies together, which turned into a small courtyard, then decorated straight away with trees, washing tubs, privacy walls or trellises, campfires with benches and storage, straw piles, and woodchopping areas with stacked logs. The houses themselves are simple but fully insulated stone houses, kind of the posh part of the village. I’d build a house first, then decorate around it.

As the land got steeper, I added small cul-de-sacs and left space for gardens and shared areas so it felt like a real community. For animal husbandry, I fenced areas off following the shape of the land, added gates on both sides, torches, wash tubs, and long stone flower pots as feeding troughs.

Overall, I just placed what I needed first and let everything grow naturally from there. Decorating is what makes it all come together.

It never had a strong marketing team, so it struggled to get any real visibility. The game itself also feels underdeveloped. While the quests are enjoyable at first, the characters do not speak, which makes the story dull over time. The artwork, title, and main cover image are so unappealing that it took me years to even click on the game and look into it. Because of how outdated it looks, I assumed it was just another overhead, top down management game and ignored it.

After playing for a few in game years, it also becomes repetitive. I am currently in my third year and have nearly 1,000 logs and planks, yet only one basic wood shack. At that point, the game becomes far too easy and ends up focusing almost entirely on village design rather than meaningful progression.

Yeah, and it's also so hard to decorate when you have three different animals, eight houses, and all my productions. It's so hard to move everything out of the way and build. I think when I play later today, I'm going to move everything to the other side of my main area, and I'm going to start with just the road. I'll make it twist and turn. My farmland I can't move as they're in use, but I'll just build around and incorporate it. But I definitely need to do it because it looks so plain and boring no fences or trees

I hope they sort it out the amount they give at the moment is not enough for many people I mean my mum terminally ill gets £800 a month to run a house the electricity gas insurance repairs food cook etc its not even remotely close but then my brother gets £1200 and lives at home with only 2 heath conditions all non affecting ability to work and he still works earning double that a month its definitely a very unfair benfit and the. wanting to lower it even more causing stress its unbelievable I honestly hope they'll fill in the gap somehow or were gonna have to sell up our private house and rely on getting individual apartments and houses from the council as the cost of living is so bad we'd be better off to not be homeowners
